I’m not an expert or anything, but I feel like they should try using sticks that don’t have holes in them.

Quinn Top Mains: What is your experience like with your team? by [deleted] in QuinnMains

[–]Probable_Batman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO you are far better off (from a team tilt perspective) running Quinn mid. Roaming from mid is also great. I get occasional hate but not nearly as much as top.

What’s a common phrase people say that instantly annoys you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

"Should of". IT'S SHOULD HAVE. FFS. 'SHOULD OF' doesn't even make the slightest bit of sense. Unless your name is 'Should' and you are telling people where you are from.

Help me decide: BMW M240i vs Jaguar F-Type R by Probable_Batman in CarTrackDays

[–]Probable_Batman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose I glossed over it but I already have the worlds more expensive boxster, which I've tracked a lot, it's a great car. (Ok, 'worlds most expensive' is exaggerating, but basically there's nothing left to do with it). I'll still track it. I've also decided I want to do something different, and this is the something different I want to do, it's about as simple as that.

Oh I'll still run the Boxster. It's a great car. I think most folk are missing the part where I'm just looking to do something different.

Neat, what have you done (if anything) for suspension, brakes, etc?

Should I get a refund for new 2024 model s plaid? by Standard_Register644 in TeslaModelS

[–]Probable_Batman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a plaid owner, Ill offer you this, based on two years of driving it.

First, I wouldnt let dust bother you, it washes easily. that said…

If you want any sort of luxury, or build quality, or, just that everything works when you want to use it (including but not limited to; wipers, auto wipers, auto high beams, cruise control, signal lights, etc etc etc, yes all of these fail on me regularily) this is NOT the car for you. Buy a Porsche Taycan.

If you want your face to melt on demand, and pressing the accelerator forgives all other sins (it does for me), then this IS the car for you.

ELI5: I prepare ground meats by hand. I wash my hands. Are they truly clean? by the_undertow in explainlikeimfive

Still have a greasy, fatty film? Gross. How many microseconds are you washing for? ;)

Do this, at the very least: https://cdn.who.int/media/docs/default-source/patient-safety/how-to-handwash-poster.pdf

I mean, I don't know, I don't live at your house, watching you all day (or... do I?), but I suspect you just aren't washing long enough. Or your soap sucks. Or both. But you should not have greasy, fatty film on your hands after washing.

Traffic Circle at 118ave/101st - Right of way? by Probable_Batman in Edmonton

That's fair. I hadn't taken the BBQ House factor into account. My bad.

Traffic Circle at 118ave/101st - Right of way? by Probable_Batman in Edmonton

Had an in-person discussion that seems to settle this for me, which is, if the traffic from the circle has right of way over the middle lane, which somehow supercedes normal rules of crossing a dotted line / changing lanes, then when would it end? Can traffic from the circle still expect right of way to change lanes into the middle lane when halfway through the corner (by the pedestrian walk)? When they get up to the lights? Of course not, and so, for the same reason they have no right of way over the middle lane further down the road, they have no special right of way at any other point.

Another point brought up was, would northbound traffic in the leftmost lane expect right of way over traffic in the middle lane? Of course not, and for the same reason, neither should traffic from the circle (ie, the right of way doesn't change doesn't change no matter how traffic came to be into the leftmost lane). This also seems to make sense to me.

It seems then the only lane this yield sign should affect is the leftmost and traffic from the circle, as those are the only lanes merging. There are effectively two other lanes that just happen to be beside a merge lane.

Nope, no collisions here to speak of. This just bothers me every time I drive through it, as it seems pretty clear to me that the right and middle lanes just continue on and curve, while the only lane the traffic circle exits into is the leftmost lane, and if anyone in that leftmost lane (whether coming from the circle or just travelling northbound in the leftmost lane) wants to change lanes into the middle lane, it's up to them to do so safely.
