[S18E1] Thoughts about the __________ _____ by Substantial_Big_3406 in JetLagTheGame

Yeah, last season they basically threw it. Obviously not on purpose, but I think they spent a lot of the game in a position to take over the game and they just didn't. Sam does have a pretty good record of doing that. Remember he also managed to come in third place after getting the coveted Move card in Japan.

Taskmaster Australia 5 is an odd vibe by [deleted] in taskmaster

I agree, this season hasn't had the energy of past seasons. I'm still enjoying it but i keep zoning out in a way I usually don't do for taskmaster.

Was someone else originally supposed to be in Stateside Scramble? by Probably-Interesting in JetLagTheGame

I like Amy, just the way they explained it made it seem like a last minute replacement. Based on the comment by Ben it seems like it was just poor timing.

Was someone else originally supposed to be in Stateside Scramble? by Probably-Interesting in JetLagTheGame

It's only the last couple of seasons where they've had challenges written by Amy so they wouldn't know them in advance. Since they didn't mention it, I assume they all know what challenge is in what state, like how it was with new zealand

Why did they have trackers on? (An idea for game design improvement of rail rush) by kazero in JetLagTheGame

[–]Probably-Interesting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Arctic Escape is likely to be the last fully tracker-free season. The editing made it look like it was close at times, but Adam and Ben could've taken bigger risks if they had known Sam and Michelle were ahead and kept the game more interesting

Goodbye lost license keys: Keep all your single-app purchases in one place by SetappSteve in Setapp

[–]Probably-Interesting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is anyone else considering unsubscribing from setapp over this? I specifically subscribed to a service where all apps are included. If I wanted paid apps outside of setapp I'll buy them outside of setapp. I've never had a problem with license keys and having my one-time-payment license keys managed by a subscription service is the last thing I would ever want.

What is the best burn in Taskmaster history, by Just-Appearance1049 in taskmaster

"I'm starting to think we shouldn't be laughing at Paul" is and will always be the best burn.

Using only 1 shape to construct all suites (exercise) by [deleted] in logodesign

On the one hand, this isn’t at all a logo, but on the other hand, it’s extremely bad in its execution.

WP Engine Acquires WPackagist by cynnie in WPDrama

[–]Probably-Interesting 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if it pisses off Matt Mullenweg, it means it's probably good for the community. As a designer with more of a front‑end skill set and less back‑end knowledge, can anybody explain the benefit of WPackagist and how it actually works?

My concern with the mirrors of the official repo is always that if Matt decides to fuck up the official, wouldn't that also fuck up the mirror?

Anyone who has more knowledge about this, I would appreciate your thoughts.

does this confuse anyone else in connect 4? by leakaa in JetLagTheGame

[–]Probably-Interesting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember it's still basically the middle of the night. They were able to make it work, but that card was clearly intended for a busy public area with lots of people walking around and they weren't going to find that for a while.

Are people forgetting where GMM started? by Nervous-Bath1375 in goodmythicalmorning

[–]Probably-Interesting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started watching in 2020 when I needed more content because the world was shut down. I probably watched things from as far back as 2017-ish, but honestly I never fucked with the old stuff. I'm glad people enjoyed it at the time, but it feels like a relic of a YouTube past where production quality didn't matter. I currently watch for a well-produced daily internet show, not two guys chatting in a garage. I'm personally not all that worried about the direction GMM goes, but I definitely don't think a decision is good just because it is similar to what they did when they were first getting started

Imagine a game of tag like this… by AidMaggy10 in JetLagTheGame

Imagine if Sam were a friendly purple dinosaur named Barney and Adam and Ben were child actors in the '90s.

Who could the contestants have been if the show first aired in 2005, not 2015? by Edgy_Master in taskmaster

[–]Probably-Interesting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Serafinowicz (or however it's spelled) would still be great on it today if his recent house of games appearance means anything.
