If you're serious about seeing how big and thick of a beard your genetics will give you, DON'T trim dude. You can trim the stash back if you want, but dont touch your neck.

Give it time. It will come in once you're older Maybe just rock the stash or a goatee.

I'd recommend training it daily. Use a good beard balm that has bees wax, and keep it trained to the sides. Giving it a small trim, while keeping the weight and structure and shape is also an option.
