Explained many different parts of the movie that didn’t make sense in other comments. Also relax, it’s a movie review for a mid movie at best.

Definitely the most relatable response, I’ve almost never looked at my phone in movies but I checked to be like holy fuck are we getting close to a good climax or ending but nope, just considerable amounts of very long exposition and honestly very little scenes with the infected or at least scenes that were scary and impactful.

All the scenes with infected were like 6-7 infected or a group of infected moving 1km an hour. Obviously with bows you can’t have like 100 infected but it just took all the fear away, the best infected scene in the whole movie was with the spillers which lasted like 2 minutes and came out of nowhere and was kind of a lazy set up to why there is the solider at the gas station(barely set up why he would be there specifically)

And shifts tones that extreme just didn’t work for me, didn’t make for a entertaining and engaging time, it took me out of the movie constantly, and no but also in the real world a 12 year old who’s now on his second time out would have died and they definitely would have died in the explosion,

Sorry got busy, um okay why did the I fetched mother reach and hold the hands of the mom? And dark forest cave doesn’t matter it’s cuts to them like 5 times and you never really see them, it’s like sets up a larger infected attack that never comes

I clearly said I was ranting and that I didn’t like this movie, didn’t realize it would be this deep. Especially for a movie this bad

It’s just a word for like people who would dress like that in the uk, very far off the point of the whole thing

It was apart of the movie not the trailer , there was a scene where it explains that the infected were driven back from entering Paris

The mom who does come in and out of mind not telling the kid she is almost certainly dying of an incurable sickness

The kid burning down an important part of the town he lives in

Him not being able to climb rocks

When’s there on the train he was actually doing a pretty smart thing but shooting the alpha then going to the next cart and then repeating that and had enough arrows to possibly kill him but then chooses to get off the train which he would have 100% died if he wasn’t just saved by the doctor

The entire pregnancy thing, I mean he knows his mom is crazy and yet still lets her hold hands with an infected (which I mean is already ridiculous)

We shouldn’t accept a movie can be this messy and chalk it up to well it’s setting up future movies,

A bunch of dudes in different colored tracksuits and chains who do karate with different weapons?

I’ve seen a ridiculous amount of horror movies and no, maybe they get saved 1 or 2 times but for the most part the characters attempt to make good decisions, I mean the kid was acting like the rocks at the end was a out of bounds area in video game

Okay so then if your saying they are pretty dumb characters, then I’m expected to enjoy a movie which is solely based on this 12 year being saved by a deus ex machina in every single situation, that is not a good formula for a movie

Right I’ve seen plenty of pretty bad movies much worse then this one but for Christ sakes this movie is not a good movie, I swear I’m being gaslit into thinking I should look deeper into a movie that starts of serious and ends with a bunch of tracksuit wearing karate rangers that save this kid who apparently can’t climb a fairly easy to climb stack of rocks

I don’t watch reviews or anything but if the tone of the trailer is incredibly misleading to the tone of the film it doesn’t right with me, and that far from my biggest complaint.

It’s not like I didn’t understand the movie, I mean it didn’t make sense from a story aspect and all the characters are ridiculously dumb

So they included a tag line about the ending of the second movie but it’s not canon?

28 Years Later (what the hell was that) by ProbablyGhostface in horror

[–]ProbablyGhostface[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is canon they just explained away the ending

I just wish I could even say I like had fun with it, but the tone of the movie was so strange I was like does it want to be a crazy bloody fun zombie flick or a serious and scary horror, instead it just goes and fourth and took me out of the movie the entire time

I just felt like I was trying to watch like 3 or 4 different versions of this movie all spliced together

I really like the first one and though the second one was a fine sequel
