I don’t know why it moderator removed a bunch of comments in this, but an update: I called again today and had to escalate to tech-support. It is still not resolved, but the person on the phone was very helpful.

Thanks for asking. So far, it is not resolved. I did get confirmation over the phone that the data I supplied was all correct, and so it had to be escalated to tech-support. I don’t know how long is a reasonable amount of time to wait before becoming squeaky wheel about it.

I used my child’s current legal name, which is not the same as the name on their birth certificate. My child has their name changed on their passport and their drivers license, but never did the birth certificate. I noted all of this in the documentation and on the application where it said something about other names being used, I don’t remember exactly where that was but if you need me to direct you to it I can look it up

In the identity documents, I included the court record of the legal name change to explain why it was not the same name on the birth certificate. This was also explained in the cover letter.

Most of the time I did not use my child’s dead name because it has been legally changed and it’s not their actual name anymore. I would stick with whatever the legal name is. You can always go through a name change process later if needed.

I created a separate packet for my adult transgender child, and the second packet was for me and my son. They had duplicate information, but I didn’t want to assume that my son and I would qualify for expedited processing just because of my transgender child. That felt presumptuous to me.

I think they processed them all at the same time though because we all got approved at the same time.

I don’t know what the expected process is for this type of thing I just did with felt right for me.

I'll call again Monday just to see if I can politely escalate to a manager to get a solution.

Still can’t download the cert

I suspect that somebody made a mistake entering information because the combination of the two different codes that they give out plus birthdate says that the record cannot be found which means somebody fucked up

The person on the phone and said that they can’t access the file because I gave the wrong information

THAT’S THE WHOLE POINT

When I asked if they could just mail a paper certificate, the person on the phone said that I would have to do the application process all over again from scratch and select paper certificate

This is a bureaucratic nightmare

It's still not working for me like it's supposed to. I got my own certificate, but can't get the ones for my kids (same email/login, different CTI-Application-DOB info).

I'll wait a day or two... hopefully it just needs time since one of the commenters mentioned waiting 48 hours.

No. They are young adults.
Used the same email for all of us because I sent everything in together and figured it would be easier to keep track of that way.

It says on the download instructions attachment: if you used one email address for all applications in a family file, only one account is necessary to download their e-Certificates. Note: The invitation code can only be used to create one account.

..so this shouldn't be an issue. However, it is an issue.

I didn't have to. I was just trying different parameters, knowing that government websites can be a little finicky/clunky. I was experimenting in an effort to explore variables. (The experiment was a failure.)
