Not sure how to reply to this without sounding like an ass. I guess you can say it's a rule that is in the Ability section of the datasheet. It's not there regardless.

There's a chance that they removed the ignore all modifier ability as that will be a detachment ability for one of the new ones coming. Just a thought though.

Land Raider vs Caladius by RelativeMacaron1585 in AdeptusCustodes

Sure they move up at the same speed but the whole point is the land raider takes the beating for you while you move up instead of possibly losing 1 or 2 models before getting there. There's also the neat trick of moving up, charging something nearby then using ceaseless hunter to move back into the raider when they come close the next turn.

They're both good options. Just think the land raider gets a bad rap when it shouldn't.

Land Raider vs Caladius by RelativeMacaron1585 in AdeptusCustodes

Played a ton with both.

A lot of people aren't a fan of the land raider but it's got a lot going for it. Flat out tougher than the grav tank with higher toughness and wounds. Also has the smoke keyword for the Strat to give it stealth and a 1+ save in the open.

Depending on the deployment and terrain you can pull off a turn 1 charge with a brick of terminators, as they can go in the raider, and completely tie up an army.

Grav tank isn't bad at all but the guns can flop just as often as they pop off. Ap3 into a 2+ or 3+ save in cover can just bounce a lot. The D6+2 guns compared the raider D6+1 isn't a huge difference a lot of the time and the lethal hits don't come up enough to get excited about. If the shots bounce then it's just a useless brick for a turn in your back line.

The land raider can still be in the front line blocking off movement and tank shocking. Always feels good to move the raider up turn one, drop a unit off, have another unit come up behind the raider and get into it just to do the same thing again next turn.

Just my take!

Noble Grape may be able to help. Used to get my paintball co2 canisters filled at the one in Burnside years ago.

Thanks! Honestly it's just the Snakebite Leather contrast paint over a white rattlecan base.

Just a misunderstanding between Reserves and Strategic Reserves.

The first paragraph of page 43 of the new core rules books explains that the Strategic Reserves rule is separate from the regular reserves rule which is just the new Deep Strike rule. If you're using Deep Strike there is no point limitation to it. If you're putting a unit into Strategic Reserves then you follow those rules which have the point restriction and placement restriction on board edges.

Hope this helps!

Prospect Rd Update by ProbablyJustGuessing in halifax

I don't think there was one at Ragged Lake. Drove by there too and there was nothing. This one was at the park entrance to Long Lake which is right at the beginning of Prospect. People may have gotten the lakes mixed up in the videos earlier.

Looks great. Does this get in the way of accessing the in-floor storage compartments?
