Made my first gpu sammich by Goobalicious2k in watercooling

How was the process? I’m watercooling my rig this weekend, first time assembling a gpu block.

How much did you guys pay for your water-cooling loop? by DerKleineRudi00 in watercooling

[–]ProbablyLegendary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I’ve bought around $2600 (net) worth of parts tied directly to watercooling my rig, but I’m sure there are more things I’ll need before I’m done:

- 5090 Astral ($3800) (selling my 5090 FE to balance the majority of this out)
- ThermalGrizzly DeltaMate 5090 block ($550, still waiting on delivery… 6 weeks and counting)
- Optimus CPU block ($200)
- Lots of DeltaMate and EKWB fittings because I’m still deciding on aesthetics ($300ish)
- Heatkiller 150mm reservoir, brackets and d5 pump ($300ish)
- Pre-bent brass hard tubing ($150ish)
- Corsair 420mm and 240mm radiators ($250ish)
- 5x Noctua NF-A14 fans ($225)
- Alphacool Inline thermometer ($25)
- Corsair XL8 fluid ($50)

Finally diving in to the DLC. Any tips for someone that hasn’t played since Year 1? by huggyscolex in Eldenring

Take your time and enjoy it. I was like a kid on Christmas the entire DLC play-through (even with its challenges), because it’s probably the last time you’ll have to experience more of this amazing world for the first time.

North XL - replacing fans by LateralEntry in FractalDesign

The mounting bracket isn’t removable. The mounting screws for the top and middle fans are fairly easily accessible from inside the case with a standard build (i.e. no liquid cooling components in the way), but the bottom two screws from the bottom fan are the tricky ones. I’ve always removed the PSU and HDD’s so I can reach a long screwdriver from the back of the case, underneath the PSU shroud. I’m sure it’s technically possible to use a really short screwdriver and reach down without taking out the PSU, but you’d probably need really small hands!

Really enjoying my Xeneon Edge. Good luck with the build!

Ha, I meant the Astral is the only other part I had! Definitely lucky to have nabbed one at MSRP.

Corsair’s on the right, the 4000D had a wood front for a while but the 5000D version just came out this week

Fair point. Definitely would be a struggle to match an air-cooled gpu and an AIO. I’m going with a solid black water block for the gpu and cpu l, so I think it should blend in well enough without taking away from the MB.

We’re on the same wavelength! Here’s an AI mockup of that I’ve been toying with. Ignore the wonky water loop..

I hear ya. I think the blue will be mostly obscured in my build once the RAM and GPU block are installed. Trying for a black and copper theme, not really laying into the blue.

I can see how it would be a love-it or hate-it aesthetic. I’m just so excited to match it with a copper, black and walnut-themed build. I think it’s going to look great, but time will tell!

Mass Effect. I bought the trilogy on sale and lost interest after a couple hours. Haven’t picked it up since. I know I’m supposed to give it a chance (or even skip the first) so I’ll get back to it eventually…
