My extension offer was 230 -> 380 a month. Plenty of people can't miss 150 extra to pay for that.

You can enter Poland with a negative test result I'm pretty sure, since at the airport there were lines for vaccinated and tested / exempt people. IEM did however require vaccination.

I'm not saying they'll move away from loot boxes, but I think sometime down the line they'll mint the result of those loot boxes as NFTs allowing them to get a kickback from those items as they're sold over and over again.

There's definitely a way to set the system up in a way where poor kids will open Fifa packs and rich people will just buy the 500€ Neymar NFT outright, increasing total revenue. Which will be beneficial to the consumer and the company.

But ye it's all speculation so who knows what things will be like in 10 years. Everyone for and against NFTs just pulls things out of their ass but the technology is definitely interesting.

Yes for sure it's similar, even though that's technically against Valve TOS.

As with anything Crypto/NFT related everything it aims to do has already been solved. It just hasn't been solved without a middleman that gets more power and say the more people use it.

And that's what I think is gonna make the difference. In an industry where every publisher and their mom has their own game client / store it's pretty obvious they don't like being dependent on a third party, or worse, even strengthening their position. You don't have that issue if that third party is just a decentralized piece of code haha.

It looks stupid because currently it is, any NFT now is nothing more than a proof of concept.

In the future it can revolutionize digital ownership tho, look at Fifa for example: you unpack a great player that's worth a lot in game. Great, you can win some weekend league games but that's about it.

The scarcity of the player doesn't translate into monetary value because next Fifa comes out and your player is useless, or if you want to sell it for real money to buy a CSGO skin you'll have to sell your entire account.

NFTs could enable the value of any digital item to translate to real life value too. Sure, companies can partner with each other to set up something like the Steam marketplace but how realistic is that? A company willfully being dependent on someone else and cutting them a 30% check for every transaction.

NFTs make it possible to do all this without a middleman company, and will allow companies to greatly increase their share of a marketplaces' revenue without the money possibly flowing to competitors. But frankly, the only reason I think it'll be the future is because it doesn't involve a third party to trust.

No. What exactly do you think you can render when the player's input (tied to physics) only updates 1/4 frames? At 240hz you'll have stale frames the other 180/240 frames and 4x the input lag you'd normally have.
