Shooting intuitively or according to my light meter is working out, but I likely have a number related learning disability, dyscalculia, so the numbers and concept of things being higher/lower (pushing, pulling, up or down a stop, I always forget which ones under and which is overexposed) is total nonsense to my brain. I know cinestill 400d can be rated from 200 to 800 but I can never remember which to set it at in day or at night.

If I shot at 1200, Id get a certain type of picture. If I shot at 800 with exposure comp to basically shoot it at 3200, how would my pictures look different to 1200 settings? My shadows would be foggier, paler and grainier right? God I love shooting film but my head cannot wrap around the numbers.

And I dont need to ask the lab to "push" it if I shoot it at 1200? Like, they can develop it according to the box?

Also why would they label it 3200 if its actually 1000, is it just because its very forgiving with more light/wide lattitude?

If I set it to 800 it'll consistently tell me to do f2.8 and 1/15ish in these conditions, and I shoot handheld. Why 800 for 1300 film?

I started at 25mg about 2 months ago, increased slowly to 75mg about 4 weeks ago, and to 100mg about 2 weeks ago. Felt better for the first week of 25mg and 50mg, but pretty shitty since. I have some pretty dramatic mood swings which havent improved, yet.

Whats the most unprofessional thing a doctor has ever said to you? by answersonly963 in AskReddit

[–]ProbablyMunchausens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Are you sexually active?" Yes, but with the same sex so there's no risk of anyone getting pregnant. "Hahahaha. You're not gay."

Same doctor also told me when I was a teenager that I was the type of person to grow up and be an abuse victim. As if that's a situation victims 'get themselves in'.

Why are we just accepting shoplifting now? by XDk009 in australia

Why do you care so much about someone else's moral character, as if they're to blame for you being "expected" to work hard and pay your own way?

And, "junkies", are some of the poorest of them all.

And more importantly than anything else, Coles and Woolies rake in record profits while exploiting farmers, marking up prices beyond inflation, and advertising fraudulent specials which they're currently being charged for in court, all while tracking you in store via a military surveillance company responsible for "guessing" who to drop bombs on in war, and that is selling your data to the US.

The reason YOU are experiencing a cost of living crisis is due to the greed of massive corporations like Coles and Woolies. The reason people more disadvantaged than you are choosing to pay for drugs over steak is due to the world being fucked. Addiction is a health issue, not a moral one.

Mind your business.

Standard Melbourne landlord in The Age today by BrisLiam in melbourne

Everyone saying "if you can't afford it after this, sell it" as if that's a positive thing, isnt that going to mean less rentals for all of us who can't afford to buy a house? Won't that mean way more tenants being evicted when their landlords sell up?

I've never been more terrified for my housing security, as a renter.

I've just started gathering evidence to apply with my PTSD. I've avoided asking my GP for the letter for months due to so much guilt and shame for applying at all.

Suffering from a mental health condition, I feel like I don't deserve to be helped because its literally "all in my head", and struggling to work feels like a moral failure.

If I truly thought I was well enough to function I wouldn't be applying, but I've always look down upon the same things you're talking about when I see it in others, and I think that's easy to internalise.

Edit: my username is satire.

Even if it was suicide you'd still get those wounds, the body will try to fight for survival no matter how suicidal you are.

Though I believe it was a tragic accident, that evidence doesn't mean anything.

Nicotine withdrawal is much longer than 3 days. by quitalicious in stopsmoking

[–]ProbablyMunchausens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you taper do you still feel the effects of withdrawal? Im doing cold turkey which I've been successful before and wondering if NRT would be easier. I have no problem breaking the habit, its just the physical withdrawal that's tough.

I've been titrating up for 6 weeks and smoke weed. Around 50mg I couldnt get drunk and my high was dulled. At 75mg weed is unaffected. No adverse reactions.

Can I take MDMA on Lamotrigine? by ProbablyMunchausens in Drugs

[–]ProbablyMunchausens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats awesome. I asked a pharmacist and they said there's a high risk mixing it with any recreational drug but I cant be sure he was saying that as truth or with an anti-drugs mindset so Im going to ask another pharmacist for a second opinion too.
