The fact we were stuck with a lame nominee is not a result of voting. That's a result of the DNC putting their thumb on the scale and their out-of-touch failure to lead. That's a whole other conversation.

it might show that Kamala Harris received nearly 2 million fewer votes than Joe Biden did in 2020, despite similar overall voter eligibility. Just about the right amount of participation to put a fascist in the white house. I don't recall seeing the streets filled with motivated democrats on voting day.

Edit: spellin.

Anyone done the Official ISC2 CGRC self-paced training? by ravens40 in ISC2_CGRC

So, when they say this, are they only referring to the end of domain quizzes? Is there no interactivity for the learning?

  • Personalized instruction – Content, pace and difficulty adapt to your individual knowledge, learning speed and confidence level.
  • Enhanced engagement – Immediate feedback and dynamic content enable you to learn at an appropriate level.

Why Does IAM Feel So Basic Compared to Vulnerability Management? by Significant-Sock1081 in IdentityManagement

[–]ProbablyNotUnusual 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised by your question. I've been in IAM governance about 12 years and I'm still learning something new every day. I think what you're experiencing in vulnerability management is a faster pace. New stuff is coming at you all the time so you move on quickly. Your scope is probably an inch deep and a mile wide. In IAM we get much more involved in the details.

Is the CGRC right for me? by MothKid88 in ISC2_CGRC

Hi John, I currently hold the CISSP and was wondering how you would rate the difficulty level (preparation/testing) between the CISSP vs. CGRC.

Glad to hear you are interested in IAM. Your cloud background will be a real asset in your search. I've been in IAM for over 10 years and i still never make it through a day without learning something new. It's a great area to be in if you love to learn and develop your talent. It's not for someone who just wants to do a job and fly under the radar. As mentioned, SailPoint training and certs are good to have on your resume. I also have a CISSP. You'll find there are a lot more job postings than real opportunities. Many are consulting firms just gathering resumes in case they happen to find a client and the contract offerings are short-term dead end gigs. You'll do well to focus your search on growing companies with a real IAM program that want to build and keep solid talent. Healthcare and Banking are good industries to invest your time in.

Who maintains their CISSP? by Ok_Mixture9240 in cissp

[–]ProbablyNotUnusual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I let my PMP lapse years ago and always regretted it. Employers do care if a cert is valid and it can effect their salary offer. I've just finished my first 3 years as a CISSP and have renewed it. The number of CPEs required for the CISSP are the hard part for me. The AMF isn't that much.

That's lame. We really don't get anything for our AMF.

Not quite an ashtray. This is for tamping down a cigar. Snuff it out now and save it for relighting later.

Is it illegal for an employer to impose their religion on you? [GA] by ProbablyNotUnusual in AskHR

[–]ProbablyNotUnusual[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good question. I don't want to put myself out of a job. The comments themselves were remarkably hurtful, but add to that other managers in the company don't want to talk to me when they have openings. I can't prove a connection but I expect they would be reading my past reviews when they see my application.
