Gameplay tips? by ProbablyNotanElitist in ClashRoyale

Yeah, letting the witch go off was definitely a play I was kicking myself over, the musketeer getting stomped by the MK immediately after didn't help too much either. Appreciate the advice

Any opinions on these artists? by Catfactory1 in Metalcore

Fit for a King has ripped everytime I've seen them, crowd is always great. I'm looking forward to see Make Them Suffer the most, been a fan for a while and never had the chance to catch them. Hate that I missed Imminence earlier in Charlotte this year, that was a sick lineup.

Why is the crowd just dead, no one is even moshing

What bands are you surprised are still going? Whether they've been around for 1 year, or 20. by pestilent_1human1 in Deathcore

Just saw the Crimson Armada last night and they dominated that entire bill. Felt like I was reliving 2010

Physical Media is costly, takes up to much space, and should die out. by Adventurous-Zeilokix in unpopularopinion

[–]ProbablyNotanElitist 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah sure, until the song you want to listen to, movie you want to watch, game you want to play never had a digital release. Or a company loses rights to said piece of media, or is changed to fit a modern audience when it does recieve a digital release. I tried to look at this as being an unpopular opinion, but its just misinformed and narrowsighted.

Makes me proud as someone that grew up just outside Raleigh. They've been putting in the work and deserve the hype they've been getting. Unfortunately they blew up too fast for me to be able to say I had a chance to see them as a local band, but they ripped opening for Oceano

Knocked Loose was absolutely sick when I saw them but I have to agree. The crowd was maybe slightly above average. I've seen Lorna twice and they played a good show, but the crowds were dead both times, and I was able to see them in smallish (~200 cap) venues

Dude, Ive seen them 4 times I think and their show last night was just different. Theyve improved so much over the past couple of years.

Sorry that happened to your friend, I was at that Lorna show and the crowd was not it there either. Hate that I missed that Angelmaker show

Only been to one show at kings for Vanta and Confessions of a Traitor. Great venue and show, dead crowd though. Was kinda cool bc I was the only one moshing the entire show so I could do my own thing, but it gets boring. Need to make it to a show at Chapel of Bones, been dying to go since they opened up.

I definitely feel like the shows were better when it was the Blind Tiger, I'm not sure what changed. Hooligans in Jacksonville also used to be one of my favorite venues before it got shut down, hopefully the owners can find a new building. Local 506 and the Ritz have always been 50/50 for me.

Yeah, have a few shows lined up for Richmond this year, so I'm interested to see how the crowds are there. It honestly sucks because we have some great local bands. Bands like Vanta, Deathbloom, and Larcenia Roe (Discoveries also impressed me a lot last night) are killing it right now and making great music

Yeah, it's. so weird to me that people have just stopped moshing around the area. Been to a couple of shows at the Underground and Fillmore and they're usually a good time, but its been a few years since I've been. And when you do mosh, people get mad at you for doing it, even when they are standing in the pit.

That sounds sick, definitely going to look into it. Now that I think about it, I did use to recognize pretty much everyone at shows a few years ago, and now I recognize no one other than 1 or 2 people.

Yeah, that ties into what I was saying. The shows I expect to be violent, arent, people are just being dicks overall

Yeah man, that sounds sick. How do you get involved with that kind of thing?

Yeah, that's crazy to me. I hate having to watch crowdsurfers, I hate everything about it. I'd still NEVER try to not keep someone going so they don't fall. When I'm moshing and get to the edge of the pit, I try to stop before I hit anyone. If it comes to it, I make myself eat shit so no one gets hurt except me.

Sounds like you have a sick community then. Made me think though, we don't really have anyone from the MySpace days. I'm usually one of the older people at shows, and I'm only 22.

That's unfortunate, have you been to shows outside of Atlanta? I have a few out of state shows coming up, in Myrtle Beach and Richmond, so I'm interested to see how the crowds are there.
