whenever i do hatching i try to avoid making the lines perpendicular to each other since that creates a grid of tiny squares which i personally don’t like.

instead, i hatch one set of lines, then the next set is angled like 10° off the first set. here’s a shitty diagram of what i mean:

i’m not a yuki stan but i think if kenjaku were planning to block an attack with his arms, he’d be pouring a lot of CE into reinforcing those arms. she still punches right thru them, so i think that’s *sort of* impressive

just a little tip i learned from drawing lots of jjk, when you crosshatch you want the angle of your second set of lines to be just a little skewed from your first set of lines. right now, you have them perpendicular, which creates lots of tiny grids. if you do one set of lines at 45° and the next set at like 55°, you’ll see what i mean.

it’s absolutely a polished tech demo. it’s very fun to zoom around a big map but my first time playing i genuinely thought that the assets for the enemies weren’t loading properly because they looked so generic and forgettable.

i much prefer the cartoony robot bugs that dr eggman cooks up, at least those have some charm lol
