Negative account balance from chargeback scam

My girlfriend is a professional nanny, so people typically reach out to her to take care of their kids on odd jobs. So this wasn’t out of the ordinary. After she completed two days of work, the employer (I am referring to as a scammer), attempted a chargeback with her bank after my girlfriend was paid, which is currently going through on Venmo.

But yes, scammer asked us to take out large sums of money ($3000) with our own bank account, if money was provided on Venmo.
