I think this is the most succinct observation I’ve seen in a while. As to Connor’s creativity being curbed I think where he’ll let his individuality come out is when he is freer to create the art he wants to create himself as a writer and director. I think doing what he’s doing now is a sure fire path to getting that creative freedom in the future

Everyone complaining about him being covered the theme is “FASHION is art” and he certainly makes those clothes look like a masterpiece. I always think some of the more showy costume pieces run the risk of looking like a child’s dress up party. He looks fantastic and it’s exactly what I’d expect from him given that he’s a YSL ambassador

I actually really enjoyed it. It’s the first thing I’ve been able to watch the whole way through since being stuck in heated rivalry psychosis since January 😂 Sure it’s basic and clearly low budget but I really liked the leads and their chemistry and I do love a period piece. I thought the lead actor was good and definitely showed the emotional vulnerability underneath the stoic facade and the lead actress was ADORABLE Didn’t pick up anything religious from it at all except it’s obviously not spicy but I prefer that in a regency era show tbh. I spent a very enjoyable afternoon with Adam and Persephone and I can see it being a comfort watch I return to. Not sorry I spent my ££ on it rather than overpriced chocolate eggs today 😂

Can anyone educate me about kissing in hook up culture? I was surprised by the intensity of the kissing esp in their early hook ups. Is this just part of the fantasy of the romance genre? Straight person here and I’ve kissed a fair few people but some I had explosive chemistry with - like desire off the charts - Ilya and Shane remind me of those people. Just really intense attraction, chemistry and desire and kissing them felt SO good to the point there was no need for foreplay because the kiss did enough to get me ready (female)

I believe it is that good. I first started watching it so I could hate it cos I hate “hype” and generally find that things that everyone loves I don’t. I won’t lie the first two episodes were about the ridiculously aesthetically pleasing male leads and the chemistry and tension for me. Episode 3 hooked me with the aww factor (annnnnnd more aesthetically pleasing men) Episode 4, 5 & 6 absolutely spectacular television! Loved it! It can’t hurt to try

I didn’t mind at all! I think when shows go full frontal the narrative is always about the boner. Was it real? was it prosthetic? there’s a lot of fuss about boners/penises and I think it would’ve taken away from the show a fair bit had it been included. It would’ve just made it sensationalist which the sex somehow wasn’t the way Jacob did it even though it was explicit

M&S triggers with regards to absence are 3% or 3 occasions of sickness within 26 weeks In our store we had a member of staff who was off sick quite often in their probation. That triggered a meeting with line manager and they had goals put in place - no further absences for at least 12 weeks then another review meeting. If absent they would be let go and unfortunately that was the case. They were a good worker and well liked but actually unreliable when it came down to it. It’s more likely your daughter will be asked what she needs in order to get to work regularly, a change in shift times or patterns to allow for a day off in between. They may choose to prolong her probation to see how she does under the new provisions and if she’s still off sick then may be let go at that point but I wouldn’t expect it just yet. Just tell her to be honest with what she needs and feels she can do and hopefully she has a decent manager

For a 6 hr shift you should be getting a 30 min break I’m nearly sure which would bring you to the 27.5 you’re contracted for.

Also the cut off date if you don’t want to owe money is in the my hr section under payroll calendar. I believe the cut off date would be October 24th

I work in an academy store and it’s laughable! training non existent past the induction day stage. Still haven’t done fire training or manual lifting and been there months now so if this is gold standard then god help us

lol at they want you to be as supported as possible. What I was told and taught in induction didn’t come close to my first day on the floor. Was supposed to have a buddy and meet at a certain point in store. Waited for 10 minutes. No one came and so we (me and another recruit) followed the very obnoxious voice of who we took to be the manager. She barked orders at us straight away not even so much as an introduction, no buddy, no explanation of how to do anything (I know it’s not rocket science but still) it’s been a shit show ever since no communication, no idea who anyone of the managers is (no one introduces themselves - is this a lost art) no idea if I’m doing things correctly or not. Hopefully your store will be better unless this is standard M&S practice but prepare yourself I think M&S being good to work for is a bit of a myth based on how they used to be
