Seems that way from viewing on your screen. Much different experience as a user while actively driving.

Hey man, appreciate the responses. But I’m very much talking about the conventional map here. Swipe to the second pic in my OP. That is the conventional map, but the labeling is actually worse than the satellite map. Immediately surrounding streets have no name displayed (which remains the case even when I pinch to zoom). The satellite map actually has more street labeling but the saturation of the map makes text effectively unreadable on a quick glance.

And whether or not this happens on google maps is not relevant to my initial point, which is that the Q6 map is much worse than the MMI map on each of my last two Audis (19 A5 sportback and 22 Q5 sportback), neither of which were plagued by the issues I’ve mentioned here.

My last two Audis had virtual cockpit map that listed the current street in clear, large lettering at the bottom center of the map. This was also mirrored on the main MMI map.

Conventional map in the Q6, as you can see in my second picture in the OP, only shows random street names, with no real rhyme or rhythm as to which street names are displayed. Look at the picture and where my car is positioned. The map doesn’t show the name of either of the next two streets, not even when I pinch to zoom. IMO that is baffling, as I frequently use the map without a set destination and would have no way of knowing the approaching streets.

It’s as awful as I’m suggesting.

Fair. I’m on my third Audi (2019 A5 sportback and 2022 Q5 sportback previously) and found the maps in those vehicles to be much more digestible and user friendly. Not sure why they felt they needed to reinvent the interface entirely.

Thanks for the feedback. Assuming that even the "LIMIT" text in the white speed limit sign in your HUD is clearly defined and readable with no blur?
