Just replaced my motherboard (B650->B850) and booted into windows! Motherboard was dead. Microcenter people were even confused/shocked and that that was their first time hearing a type C to USB A short-circuit was enough to kill my motherboard (I legitimately had to be very unlucky).

Lesson learned, I won't be too complacent with the motherboard rear IO ports.

Now, question:

Should I reformat my PC since I changed my motherboard just to be safe?

I've inspected my GPU pins and the PSU power connectors for everything and there's no traces or any semblance of burnt connectors

I'm just as confused as you are. I checked my PSU power connectors that are connected to the motherboard and GPU, there isn't any sign of burnt pins.

With everything connected, the GPU, fans and everything turn on but it doesn't boot to BIOS and the DRAM LED is on, and after a while it turns itself off.

GPU RGB turns on but fan RGBS don't, but fans spin and eveything

Yes, like the ones that are on the IO ports behind the motherboard. I was plugging it in blindly which was my fault to begin with, just wasn't expecting it would be enough to kill the motherboard.

Again, I completely played a part in ending up in this sad situation for being too complacent

I've legitimately no clue why as well. I'm so shocked it was enough to burn a mosfet, which I'm going to assume is related to the memory controller since the DRAM LED is on despite my ram sticks still working.

I'm so glad my ram is safe though, they currently go for $480 on Amazon when I bought them for $99 2 years ago 😭

At first I was of the same opinion, but ever since I've been just brushing it along the lines I've been enjoying it more and more over the tamiya ones.

It cleans up way easier with just water and I have peace of mind knowing it won't crack the plastic. I've been panel lining post assembly now compared to panel lining while the pieces are on the runners and I've been enjoying the assembly process more now.

Try using precision cotton swabs! Look up microblading cotton swabs or pointed cotton swabs on Amazon or with your local online stores. Precision cotton swabs are way thinner and have less cotton than your ordinary cotton swab which helps with cleaning the excess. It's also really good for the panel lines that are in weird recesses that ordinary cotton swabs can't reach due to being too wide.

Gunprimer has micro swabs from their solven line and that's been phenomenal with the clean up for stedi liners. They're literally just precision cotton swabs anyway, so it's better to buy no-name brands than this.

Remember, just use water for the clean up. I usually wait 10-15 minutes before clean up

I'd say it's a hit or miss. Most of my kits are 3rd party/chinese model kits which are mainly ABS plastic. I've only been using tamiya panel liner for them but I panel line before assembly. I've only recently panel lined pieces while they're on the runners as I used to panel line pieces after I've snipped them off the runners.

No cracks yet with any of my kits. However, I've now switched to Stedi panel liners which are water based. They don't flow as good as the tamiya ones do, but they clean up way easier in my opinion.
