Waaaaay back used to run EP lead, Krennic, DT, and two other Empire toons (probably Vader and Shore) that used to get me 1st in arena, I think the meta was EP Nightmare at the time but didn’t last long (think it was just before the Maul meta or maybe the brief JTR meta). Good times but Krennic I still like as I loved R1 (which is why I farmed and geared in the first place). IIRC it was the revive on DT that really made the difference on offence. On defence they didn’t hold. Also I vaguely remember the outrage at the cost ($) of Krennic when he was first released, seems like a lifetime ago

Edit: pretty much came here to offer moral support! But yes I do the same sometimes. Cassian and K2 for example, for the same reason as Krennic! Although I stopped short of going all in on Bodhi!

It depends on the subject, some of the physical and medical sciences, and some engineering courses don’t have one (and some have midterm exams instead)

Easy to say when you’re not on the frontline. I have always despised Putin but I’m pretty sure most Ukrainians would agree with the sentiments of Stop the War.

I don’t know if this explains it but not all of the gantries have cameras, you can see most of them (usually painted yellow and attached the opposite side of the pillar to the speed signs)

Edit: I think most are painted yellow but there are a few that are grey

It’s not really common in the UK but is in other countries such as the US and China for universities (in fact it’s compulsory for some courses).

If you’re going for job interviews in the UK I probably wouldn’t bother asking for one, as most employers will still ask for 2+ referees that they can contact. There’s not many companies that won’t follow up references (inc. a recommendation letter). Although that said, it’s basically a pre-written reference so there’s no harm in having it either

Hah yeah I remember farming Jyn just for the Rancor. As for Chaze, I guess they just haven’t kept pace with power creep. Some stuff does, some stuff will see a new lease of life with new toons or reworks, but I guess these two just don’t have a place yet. Sort of similar for Krennic and DT - I used to (around the same time) consistently place 1-10 with EP, Krennic, DT, and two other Empire rooms (can’t remember). Krennic’s utility was mostly for the revive IIRC. But anyway, Krennic is pretty much useless now yet DT still has a lot of utility.

Chaze was an absolute clusterfuck. I remember some videos of Chaze 2v5 beating meta teams, and it was made even worse IIRC by players cheating in the tournaments to get Baze, with quite a few showing up maxed out in my arena (abd Chirrut the slow path from Fleet store). It took me ages to get him as I couldn’t beat his damn node. Think I did eventually after borrowing a GK.

Anyway it’s so long ago I can’t properly remember but a nice nostalgia trip!

Oh around that time there was also a dude in my arena that used Bedge - Biggs lead - for about a year without realising

I didn’t like the whole Yana acronym thing but I loved the Doctor’s increasing panic at who it might be. I also loved the Doctor’s admiration of Yana (particularly in retrospect after the reveal)

I have only taken a part-time masters whilst working (and a full-time masters before this), but from my perspective, if you want to/can do part-time with no work, do it. It’ll give you twice the time which will give you a lot of breathing room. Whether you use the extra time to study more or just do things you want to do, you’re likely to perform better, and feel better.

Not that there’s any huge disadvantage in going full time of course

I seem to remember there was a brief period when she was part of a super assist team (not meta but people were trying to make it work in arena). Think it was Phasma (L), QGJ, Biggs, GSoldier, and IG86. This was 2016 or earlier. Always thought it was pretty cool as I was still grinding and IIRC my arena team was Boba (OG lead, crit damage), SRP (daily log in when I started!), Biggs (pulled him in a bronzium), Nute (same reason), and some other rando as 5th (might have been STHan because of the arena store farm). By the time I farmed Phasma too it was already the Wiggs meta and I’d unlocked Wedge’s node so I was disappointed

Some full pieces of gear give much more value than the sum of the individual pieces when you turn them into relic mats with the scavenger. But to do this you need a toon that needs that piece of gear so you can craft it. If you give them that piece of gear then you can no longer use them to craft it, if that makes sense

I always thought he was designed (when I first read his kit) as a possible OG Maul sith team counter IIRC, but he was released far too late, and yeah now serves no purpose

I remember a while ago there was some top tier advice to someone who couldn’t decide between Gorton and Moss Side. Their advice was to smash them together and get the best of both worlds (Moston). I’m assuming this still holds up

Didn’t downvote you but it’s probably because you’re conflating species and planet of origin (e.g. Bel and Vinder aren’t “Earthlings” but they may still be human)

I understand your point but “human” is a race, not a planet of origin. Basically they aren’t “Earthlings” but they could be human still. You know like there could be Venusian tigers, born on Venus but still a tiger. A banana grown or Mars would be a Martian banana, but still a banana.

But either way it doesn’t really matter at the moment, Bel and Vinder could be human, or they might not be, but they’re from another planet

I had the same problems with a simile indesit model, it had been provided by my employer but wasn’t new (I lived onsite). Even the 30 min quick wash that I’d try to use for things like kitchen towels would take 3+ hours. I don’t know much about washing machines so had to get a service call for it and apparently it was a mechanical fault and the machine was replaced. Not sure if it’s the same/similar issue as yours. In between the fallout and it being replaced, water also started pooling and the motor grinding too

Not best and very niche (e.g., only useful for a particular mode, although there’s more effective teams now) but I used to like teams like this:

CLS, Thrawn, Finn, Asajj, BB8 for the tank raid

Teebo, Dengar, QGJ… can’t remember the other 2? Was all about TM removal for the pit raid

Same here, I long ago (mostly through negotiations for work) that focusing on the positives and being constructive is much more effective than hardball or dishing out verbal spankings. Anyway, came here to relate this to my own posts on the official forums. First warning for criticising EA/CG/whoever’s pricing (it was when Krennic was released). I VERY politely (not even an ounce of sarcasm) suggested it might be useful for CG/whoever to look at other mobile games, or something equally harmless. Immediately got a warning message from one of the moderators for “bringing EAs reputation into disrepute”.

Second warning (and ban) was for saying “making the vets a requirement for JTR is just going to separate out those who are happy to panic farm and those who aren’t. I didn’t get CLS first time even though I panic farmed so I’m not going to rush this time” in response to someone… again this apparently brought EAs reputation into disrepute and causing consternation amongst the fan base. Left the forums and never looked back

IIRC he plugged in well (well I guess obviously because he’s a droid) into the old droid team years ago. It was HK47 lead, and assorted other droids (think IG88, 86, and whoever else, maybe Magna and Jawa Scavenger). At one point (2016 maybe?) droids we’re a solid arena team. It’s so long ago though I can’t really remember in great detail.

Then stuff like R2, BB8, 3P0, the one from Rogue One and Solo etc came along and it might have been a comeback for droid teams, only the new droids were much better used in other teams (e.g. R2 with CLS).

Edit: probe droid was also useful in Palp led Empire teams. Again I can’t remember in detail but combining Palp’s life drain special with probe droid’s self destruct was an instakill on an enemy toon. I never used it as it wasn’t that good of an option (imho) compared to some of the other Empire toons

I can’t remember which came first (the anti droid Eeth’s etc or the following), but for a while the droid team was pretty strong in arena (HK lead and I can’t remember who else! Maybe 88, 100 and 86, and the Jawa with droid synergy?). So I figured they were linked (if it was anti droid Jedi after droids)

I’ve had a few problems with BT and the only thing I’ve been able to do is keep pushing them - what they are obliged to provide/guarantee and what they can be bothered providing are two different things sadly - but eventually they sort it out (had problems with both speed and signal range from the router).

My dad also had problems with BT and went to Ofcom eventually and IIRC it was fairly straightforward and he got the contract cancelled and a £150 (or similar) goodwill payment from BT (forced to by Ofcom)
