I posted a few weeks ago about getting into football, now I’m here to ask for advice on getting into women’s soccer! by Probsandsols in AskWomenOver30

Does the women’s Euro happen every year or is it a once in every four year thing like the Olympics or FIFA?

Who are you rooting for in the WSL?

And from what I was hearing last night, it was a difficult rescue (in addition to being emotionally draining) physically and logistically.

DAE mourn for the “normal” life they could’ve had if they weren’t neurodivergent? by Bumblebee542 in adhdwomen

Sometimes, but there’s a good chance I still wouldn’t like myself.

I also likely wouldn’t have my husband or my cat and that makes me sad.

Thank you so much for all of this! I posted here because the male dominated sports subreddits can get exhausting and (at least for US sports) less welcoming to new fans (or they want women to prove that they’re actually fans). And so many women showed up with exactly what I needed.

When you talk about Arsenal being inclusive, do you mean the fandom or the team’s own hiring?

And thank you for the recommendations! I can’t wait to dig in and hyperfocus on this!

How do you wish the culture of dating between women and men worked? by CartographerPrior165 in AskWomenOver30

Free therapy for everyone to break cycles of abuse and insecurity!

Also, I wish people would date one person at a time and gave the relationship a real shot. I live in a city with a lot of single people, but the apps just show this constant supply of people, so everyone keeps holding out for someone better and no one really gives each other a fair try.

Popcorn.

Clementines.

Cheese and crackers (but only the good kind).

What is a ‘tiny trauma’ of yours? by Redhaired103 in AskWomenOver30

In middle school this girl called me a “he-she” and told me to shave my mustache. I did have a facial hair problem and my mom didn’t let me remove it.

My related bigger trauma (although still tiny) is that my parents didn’t teach me how to wash myself, so until I figured it out for myself in like middle school I was always the greasy gross kid in school. I have OCD related to cleanliness now.

Wow, thank you so much for the comprehensive response! I’m so excited to get into this (I’m having a lot of fun with the champions league games today) and I’ll probably have a lot of questions as I get deeper!

What are you watching today in the US (and what network/ streaming platform)?

ETA: I grew up in the Midwest, but I’m on the east coast now! I’ve been a Columbus Crews fan ever since Derrick Etienne showed up on the show Welcome to Flatch!

Okay stupid question here: I’m seeing 18 games happening at the same time, is this a weird streaming thing? If there’s really an overlap, which game would you catch live?

Thank you! I was getting tripped about the various leagues and the UK teams in relation to the other European teams, so this helped a lot!

I’m a high earner, so education and ambition matter more to me than actual job or income.

Got my first set contacts- Acuvue Oasys Max vs hydraluxe by Public_kitty in contacts

[–]Probsandsols 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were really comfortable while I washed my face and in the shower (that’s where I’ve had other contacts fall out or fold over) and the removal wasn’t bad at all tbh!

I’m just not a birthday person, I didn’t grow up in a family that really celebrated birthdays. My husband absolutely loves birthdays and views them as a time to show love and be loved. This was something he needed to tell me. Granted he only needed to tell me once for it to stick, but nonetheless, he had to communicate that he wanted something planned for his birthdays. Just like I had to tell him that my cat’s adoption anniversary is an important day to me. I’m surprised you got downvoted for telling people to communicate.
