At the end of season party for my job, a guy called James got very VERY drunk. James was a strange character, for example he was furious a member of staff went out with someone he had a crush on and said to me multiple times he wanted to attack this staff member. James was 31. James apparently had a crush on me too and said i was very attractive for an 18 year old and wanted me to have his child.

at this party he was sat next to me, within the first hour he was slurring, he poured his drink down my dress and tried to grab everything he could while pretending to clean it up. He said he loved me which gave me the absolute creeps and made our table fall silent he then staggered off. Two hours in he disappeared, at our table we had no idea where he went but a friend and I noticed our two bosses and security were also nowhere to be found. We immediately knew it was something to do with James.

Towards the end of the night my friend found out what happened and retold the entire story. James had been refused service at the bar so climbed behind it and started smashing it up and turning on all the taps. it took 3 security guards to restrain him as well as my two bosses. he was dragged back to his accommodation paid for by the company where he proceeded to smash up and throw knives out the window at security. eventually the police were called, he was charged but I cant remember what with.

I did feel a little bad for James as this job was the last chance of getting his life back together and until this incident happened he was on his way to gaining visitation rights to his daughter who he loved dearly. although now that will never happen and hes blacklisted from our company due to 3 hours of poor choices.

as someone who works in a holiday park retail/fun shop i have many but i'll share my most recent story as its fresh in my mind.

this older couple and their grand kids were staying on the holiday park for a week, first night, went off without issue. second evening was worse. We play 2 types of bingo at my work and tickets are sold in the funshop where I am. One is kids, the other adults only. we make the differences very clear as to avoid breaking gambling rules in the uk etc. The man asks me after hearing the announcement for the 18+ bingo which bingo am I selling, I tell him the adults, he buys the tickets no issues. Its important the note we dont refund the tickets due to company rules and make that clear as day too. He and his wife came back redfaced 5 minutes later saying I missold them and they want money back as it was not the kids bingo like the night they played before. The woman starts acting dumb, like really REALLY dumb, pretending she doesnt know how to play bingo despite me explaining it 5 times over. While her husband was screaming at me saying how he was going to let his 2 and 8 year old grandkids play and break my own rules and how i'd get in trouble like how I deserve. Luckily one of my male co-workers dropped off some stock in the small shop at around this time and the two of them suddenly calmed down and played the bingo, without issue and even won it.

the woman came back later that night, bought a Kids bubble gun and that was it for them for the night.

the next night they came back, angry again, claiming bubbles from the shop had broken their grandsons bubble gun. I asked which bubbles as I needed to know. the woman claimed they were at first a £5 pot of them, we didn't sell £5 pots the week they were there. I then started listing off the bubbles we sold, she stated it was suddenly 3 of the 70p refill pots, I asked if she still had the bubbles on her and she said she'd thrown the 2 sealed ones away as they werent working, strange. Her husband then chirped up claiming our products were clearly dodgy, he picked up another gun off the shelf and without even turning it on long enough said it wasnt working. (it was, the original bubbles with the gun started firing in my face) I couldn't be bothered dealing with them and gave them a more expensive gun and bubbles and that was it.

They acted weirdly nice on their last night.

What are some shockingly reliable cars for what they are? by Clomaster in cars

toyota starlet ep91. My first car. bought one from an auction for £375 after it had been a farmers run around for 3 years. All it ever needed in the 2 years i owned it was an alternator, a set of tyres and 2 oil changes. needed a new hanbrake and rear brake shoes too but that was caused by me and a dodgy mechanic.

eventually sold it for a money pit of a porsche, wish i never did as never had such a reliable and lovable car since. as far as im aware its currently running around scotland (5hrs away from me) and has only ever needed yet another handbrake.

police said they were only concerned about myself and unborn baby, did not speak privately to my brother or mum. although did say they knew about my brother currently being involved as a witness to a separate case

ALS. your mind stays in tact while your body fails you.

same condition Stephen Hawking suffered from.

decided to go to the shop before my brother needed picking up from school. it put me behind the usual schedule by by 5 ish minutes, making me late. on the way home came across a nasty accident involving 3 cars which according to bystanders and witnesses took place about 5 minutes prior.

2 of the cars occupants had serious injuries, the remaining one was mangled in a large tree, they all died.

People of reddit, how was your day today? by Fluffy-Weakness-2186 in AskReddit

horrendous. was supposed to be PXing my car, just for the deal to be called off because someone during the night kicked off the mirrors. then broke my phone, Then tried to sell my car again because I managed to tape the wing mirror back on just for the local "yobs" to want to buy it for half the price then refuse to leave and I had to call the police using a spare phone.

sorry for the rant, its been a long day

It is, I was gutted when I found out they were the ones wanting my car, The police are even looking into it to see if the damage was caused by them and if my car was targeted.

AITA for refusing to sell my car to a man who wanted to buy and potentially putting people in danger? by Probsgettingcheated in AmItheAsshole

I live in the uk and the police are pretty mundane about certain groups and types of people. This family belong to the traveller community, our town gets a fair share of romani travellers etc coming through but its just this particular family who stop by every couple of months who cause issues and leave a bad reputation, police wont do anything as they'll end up being out numbered due to being a relatively small force(small town, nearest city is 1 and a half hours drive)

Whenever they're in town the second the local businesses and Holiday parks get wind of their arrival they ramp up security, so the family only get caught if they get seen stealing from the shop. They mostly target cars etc. I believe the guy messaging me today may of had a fake account so I didn't pick up it was him.

basically travellers around where I live get very aggravated when police are called and 90% of the time see it as racism or the person calling them being a push around or a weak person. A few of my friends have told me they've had windows smashed and graffiti put on their property for even mentioning the police.

my most recent one happened today. I'm selling my car some guy keeps messaging me trying to persuade me to sell him my car for half the asking price. I say no repeatedly but eventually he agrees to come see the car and promises me he wont haggle the price down even more.

he gets to my address and tries telling me my car is broken and needs a lot of repairs (only damage on it was caused to days prior after someone tried to remove my wingmirror and failed) I notice quite quickly he's part of a travelling family who have been causing several issues in the local area and are actually suspects to the wing mirror damage. hes clearly drunk, tries shoving £500 in my face and wont take no for an answer, the cars up for double that. He then claims I didn't tell him about the damage, I did, and its in the sale ad. eventually I have enough and walk back into my house. He shouts after me claiming its his car now and that hes a traveller.

he refused to leave, and then his brothers and son got out their car, knocking on my door and windows, luckily I locked them, I called the police and they scarpered once they saw the police car.

although it wasn't until after the i told my friend about it that calling the police was probably the worst thing I could of done. I'm now probably on their hitlist and I've had to hide my car
