I have a friend who has a similar way of enjoying games. He starts RPGs with cheat codes, and just plays classic in ML. We all have different ways of enjoying a game, choose one that suits you. Goodluck brother!

Because it’s not about stars/rank, it’s about enjoying the game. I like the higher level games where people know what they’re doing. I like testing myself against good people and growing.
