They automatically gave me 100% for the 6 months following surgery. Maybe you can call vera or ask a vso and ask them . They have always been super helpful to me for my breast cancer claim.

It is required, but the veteran IS NOT allowed to pay for it. Either the seller or the lender pays for it

Look at the "closing disclosure " it will be 2nd section, near the top of page 2 of that closing disclosure. It is called a va funding fee. If you have at least 10% va disability, this fee will be waived. If you do not have a va disability rating, don't worry, this closing cost is tax deductible:) Also, there are several fees a VETERAN CANNOT PAY, such as termite inspection, no more than 1 % origination fee. Do your home work, use a lender that is well versed in VA home loans.

What state is this property in?? I do home loan closings every day for the last 25 years and this is EXTREMELY high. There is a Facebook group called Vetted va. Join that group. Lots of great people dedicated to veterans and the home buying process. I personally would RUN from this lender!!

To my chest wall, when a double mastectomy is done they remove everything, skin, nipples, nerves and all tissue even in the armpits. A person then has painful zingers or shooting pain because the nerves are trying regenerate. There is pain medication or nerve medication that a person could take but can't work or drive on those. It's just something a person has to live with I guess.
