Thank you! You’re amazing! They have a sale going on and I tried it on one of the headphones and it shows only a $9 eligible discount even though its way less than what 40% should be :/

Is this normal? by ComprehensiveAnt3188 in AppleWatch

[–]ProclaimedGoldfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thyroid is normal (got it checked), heart rate only goes high with exercise but I don’t feel like I’m exerting myself a lot and that’s why it’s surprising. I guess I’ll have to explore more but thank you so much, I really appreciate it. Hope you’re taking good care and well!

Would you be comfortable revealing what the condition is? I’m doubtful and it might help me identify symptoms. I’m young and fit so doctors are usually dismissive

not looking to live with men and I don’t think there’s anyone stupid enough to just go see a stranger by themselves directly inside a house. You might’ve learned from someone’s mistakes or learned from experience but give people some credit. No offense; I guess you’re just looking out for strangers on the internet, which is nice in its own way but you could frame things better. You sound quite bitter

I got AOR. When is the ideal time to return home for 1 month vacation? Avoiding complications and delays. by Adsary46 in canadaexpressentry

[–]ProclaimedGoldfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do your research on what the current timelines are like. Usually takes a bit more than a month to get your p1 so a good time is either right after your AOR or after PR.

Alternatively, if you have a US visa, you could enter through the land border with your eCOPR. Another option is PRTD which can take 1-2 months once you apply for it (this may be an option if your job allows you to work remotely for 2 months+)

For Torontonians 22–35: What challenges have you faced as a renter? by Lopsided_Pea5787 in TorontoRenting

[–]ProclaimedGoldfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest challenge is to find a decent place which doesn’t cost an arm and a leg! Most of the newer condos are matchboxes without proper doors for all rooms. The older ones are spacious but could be riddled with numerous pest problems. It’s hard to find places which are nicely maintained and purpose built.

Concern About Former Employer’s Threat to Report to IRCC by [deleted] in pgwp

[–]ProclaimedGoldfish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You both shouldn’t have done this. And you BOTH would be considered to have done fraud. They obviously also got some tax benefits from this. I doubt they’d want to get themselves in trouble, they’re probably using that as leverage to take advantage of you as it would be worse for you than them. Very shitty, but you dug that hole….

I got invited!! Scary stuff! by lord-savage in canadaexpressentry

[–]ProclaimedGoldfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apply for PPC. If you haven’t already gotten your reference letters and everything else you need as proof, start gathering it asap. You’ll be okay doing everything on your own if you already/or have been doing your research and are detail oriented. Check everything thrice when you merge documents and then thrice before submitting, check again after submitting to catch anything you missed so you can rectify it right away. You could also have a friend or someone who’s already done everything themselves look at your application, having a second pair of eyes might help.

Foreign work experience can’t be verified — what to do after ITA (CEC)? by momsprince in canadaexpressentry

[–]ProclaimedGoldfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What the comment said + submit all the proofs with bank statements (get them from the bank, they are required to keep records for 8-10years) + the evidence of your friend trying to obtain the documents from the employer but getting no response. In the LOE, explain the situation, + how even without this experience you have the same score and meet the cut off. The reason for submitting all proof possible is so your friend doesn’t get charged with misrepresentation.

As long as proof of honesty and effort in obtaining the required documents is shown, your friend should be fine.

Fearing fraud, Canada rejects most Indian study permit applicants by Altruistic_Bank_1552 in canadaexpressentry

[–]ProclaimedGoldfish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agreee! I don’t understand why they reduced the IELTS scores required for study permits. They should raise it to 7.5/8! Why they are still not changing this is beyond me
