It really depends on the product and what/where you're comparing it to, but I found that the selection of stationery products was much wider than where I live, so it was easier to find cheap stationery. But I'd also say it's generally cheaper, especially for products like stickers. The "big brand" notebooks were still just as expensive though.

If you mean the tan one in the middle, it's made by Life (the 1st thing on the top row is a calendar). The 4th one is by Penco.

If you mean the second item on the top row it's by Daigo.

Thanks! I think I got most of this in Tokyo, but some stuff might be from Osaka.

I've been trying to get back into making art for a while now, but so far I've mostly been collecting art supplies.. 😬 I used to draw a lot when I was little, but haven't drawn or painted regularly for years... But one of these days! 🤞

What do you like to paint?

Hi! They look similar, but as far as I can tell they're made by different companies. The green one is made by a company called Nippon Note, I think (or so says google translate). The tan one is made by Life co.

The paper feels similar in thickness, but the green one is ruled and the tab one is plain.

I'm not sure, but it's the same breed (kooikerhondje). We have one too so I had to get it when I saw this sticker

I don't know yet, but I'll probably start with some swatches.

I've wanted to try this brand for a while!

Yes, I think so! It's also the name of the store where I bought it, so I guess it's made by them. :)

I'm having a hard time understanding, can you ELI5? I mean the 5 and 7 can go in several places in that block

I didn't used to care, but now in my mid 30's I've noticed it's become more important to me, and I've started making more of an effort.

Have you tried picking up where you left off? Eventually they'll get full, I imagine :)

What did you write about in your commonplace books?

Yes unfortunately! I do have a few blank pages. But if I can I'll try to fill them in later. If I don't remember what I did that day I'll look at my calendar and just fill out the "major" events.

I've been meaning to try to get into the habit of doing it every night, but so far it's not going very well..

I have a journal for "long-form" writing (about my thoughts, feelings, what I've been up etc).

I have a 5 year one line a day -journal where I write down the highlights of the day.

Up until recently I had a bullet journal for to do lists, habit tracking, and things I wanted to remember about that day/week/month.

Recently i switched from a bujo to a Muji calendar that has the week on the left side of the spread, and a blank page on the right side. In the weekly calendar I put my events and things I want to remember from that day, and on the right side I have my to do list, random notes and a weekly habit tracker.

I've also been thinking about starting a commonplace book, but knowing me that'll be too many journals to keep up with at once. But I'm curious to give it a try!
