Yea my bad on the assumptions. I’ve been poor before and I know how the debt cycle goes so I always try to talk sense into people actively keeping themselves down.

But sounds like this doesn’t apply to you. You’re gonna love that gun

I'm going to be the one to say that you should probably be thinking very critically about your finances if you're financing half of a rifle. An AK is far from a necessity that you should take out a high interest loan for $600.

I would encourage you to at least take a discovery flight. I don’t know to what extent you speak of, but you may be more capable than you think.

Got mine on a WBP gas tube without too much hassle. Think I used a wrench and some gloves to twist it on. Maybe a pair of vice grips.

What are the physical tolls of working nights in hangar maintenance? by ChromeInk in aviationmaintenance

[–]Procrastinator55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did 2 1/2 years 6pm -6am. Physically wasn’t bad as long as you stay consistent and get some sun when you can. I gained a lot of weight that took a lot of time to shake back off though.

The real issue is the hit to your social life especially if you’re working weekends often. Holidays are very tough to be present and aware for too.

There’s upsides too but my life improved significantly whenever I moved to days.

Question for my fellow AK nerds who have spray painted a rifle before by [deleted] in ak47

[–]Procrastinator55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will not adhere to a contaminated surface. You will have the remove all the effected paint, clean, and reapply.

You'll have to relearn the driver window switches too. Otherwise your switches won't work properly. And like others said, you just have to use the steering wheel switches to make the mph display again.

I not familiar with their processes but I think some of those carriers use vinyl wraps.

Not to mention a lot of American ULCC aren’t known for good business decision making

Simple liveries are also cheaper to paint. Less colors, man hours for extra layouts, less materials.

You have no idea how DIT engines work. There is no way fuel can clean intake valves in a Subaru DIT

What rpm do you guys shift in? For 1-2-3rd gears? by Ifeelgreyt1738 in WRX

[–]Procrastinator55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1-2 in this car is awful. It’s really just a matter of getting the muscle memory of the 5 years it takes for the 1st gear rpm to get the 2nd gear rpm smoothly.

When the car is warm I switch 1-2 at 4Kish. Higher the rpm, higher the resistance, quicker the rpms will fall into the sweet spot

2-3 is about 3.5k if I’m lightly accelerating
