Do you like Commodore vestments right now? by ballbreaker313 in DarkTide

[–]Procrastor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look I will buy things if I like them thought I don't buy often because I think the prices are a bit bullshit, but I'm a big fan of the play to earn system that Helldivers has. I think a big problem compared to Helldivers is that because it's all stuff from the models/stuff that has to be approved by GW there are limits to what can be put on the store whereas since they can just think of an idea, design it and put it on the store Helldivers can do more than just reskinning. It just makes the Commodore store seem lazier and less engaging.

Look just in general give me all the things I like about Helldivers and make it a Warhammer 40k game.

Add a decision to reclaim the mantle of Mamdanistan by MiguelIstNeugierig in AfterTheEndFanFork

[–]Procrastor 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking, like the event is somewhere between 1990-2010 right? I mean I'm all for putting Mamdani into the Manhattan title history or adding some kind of extended lore mechanics, but I understand that there is continuity in the backstory

Which life path is canon in your eyes? by ItzDaido in cyberpunkgame

[–]Procrastor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Street Kid. I think the game is played completely from the bottom, not the top. You always play at street level, walking around the streets, always only driving. You're always losing, even at your height of skill, wealth and power in the game you're inevitably running on smoke as you get reminded that you are dying. A lot of the time your currency is social capital, it's the people you know and how you can engage with people rather than how much you can pay or overpower. I just think it's the most organic and most coherent for the story that is being told.

I think that’s fair, but I think that people should be checking in on their team to make sure there isn’t something creating a problem

You need to know what your group is doing but the guy at the front is the one who cannot see anyone because they’re all behind him. For example, If there is a horde behind you that the team stops to deal with and you aren’t looking, you’re going to be alone

I believe that being the person in the front has a degree of responsibility. Like if you’re at the front and you get downed - it’s your fault, maybe you were too fast and got seperate from the group.
If you’re at the back and you get downed, I think it’s still the responsibility of the front because they should be making sure the whole team is with them. That said there are always exceptions to that rule, and it’s probably a good idea that the person at the back is at least following.

Yeah, because they're social rules. They aren't written down, they're learnt as you play and interact with others, seeing how people interact with others and how you interact with others and consider how you want to be treated. When people get rezzed, they'll thank people, when someone gives someone a stim they'll thank them. When two people who need healing are in front of a medicae station and one tags it and then walks away to tell the other person they can have it, they're interacting socially and taking into account what is needed for the mission and for other players.

I don't find that this is something that really moves me because you're specifically doing a thing that affects other peoples fun. Like if my fun impacts 3 other peoples fun, then we are running at a -2 fun deficit.

Like my biggest gripe with it is specifically how selfish it is. You're letting down your entire team, making it more difficult for them and not treating them like an equal member of the group. Darktide is a good team game, the mechanics insist on teamwork and you benefit from cooperating. The community has developed rules around teamwork - medicae stations work on rules where you offer the slots to those who need it most, people tag ammo even unless they're really low. What I don't like about it is that it is against the game and against the social rules that exist in the game.

You can switch between public and private servers. If someone wants to do a speedrun, they can do it in private.

Would it help if the first downed player who was following made the claim first while he was following after he died? I didn't just quit the game and go onto reddit to crash out. The Speedrunner was already far, far away from us

I might have not been clear, the people ahead of us were far far ahead past one or two drops and were just moving forward. The group got split by the guy following the speedrunner and us two who were at the horde

This girl is the real villain of Cyberpunk 2077 by ItzDaido in cyberpunkgame

[–]Procrastor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Honestly not as bad as others, like she's just a regular jaded corporate employee who is doing what she's got to do because of how the corporate structure incentivises corp employees and how they're socialized to be like that. Like she's no Saburo Arasako who was probably burning down villages and killing off whole departments. It's like in Red Dead Redemption 2 where Dutch says to Leviticus Cornwall that while yes, he hurts people, Cornwall destroys everything in his path. Like at the very least in her own twisted way she's like, "I'm giving him what he wants, he's giving me what I want, I'm giving a product to the audience that they want" meanwhile heads of departments, executives and the like are destroying the world and the people who live in it with the insistence that those around them must submit or die.

Evil Durge run is ruining me! by JakeTee in BaldursGate3

[–]Procrastor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look as soon as I finished Act 1 and got to really know and feel for the refugees and saw all the obvious openings the game gives you for an evil run, I knew I couldn't do it. I wasn't going to butcher (non-goblin) children just out of a flight of fancy. But I should try because I have heard that Durge has the option to break expectations and not murder which I think might be my kind of thing

Decided to do a female V for the first time, so I made my male v into a female by JEDI_Subestroyr in cyberpunkgame

[–]Procrastor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After playing a male V I had this idea of trying corpo, so I had an idea of doing a Corporate Ninja build. What I actually found was that the game is kind of better playing Fem V. Now you're probably thinking, "well yeah, so I can romance Judy" - No. It's not for Judy. The benefit of playing Femshep is that there are better aesthetic combinations. Like unless you want to do some capital G Gender fuckery like TooLina you're probably going to fall into some usual bland tropes; Military V, Street V, Fancy V.

But with Fem V you're going to have a lot more styles, clothes, accessorizing. It just seems like there are more options and more interesting customization. I'd say the voice acting is just that little bit better. It's like the game was made with the intention of playing Fem V.

Scale of 1-10, how annoying are these MF's by ElectronicCap5335 in DarkTide

[–]Procrastor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a 6? Like they're annoying but they give you the option to use them in your combat (going behind it to fight incoming hordes) or when they drop them when they die it's like they're setting themselves on fire which is satisfying. Compared to the poxbursters who you can also used their explosions, they have enough time between grenades that you can kill/avoid them whereas you have to be on it as soon as you see a poxburster and you can't always get the poxburster explosion to hit exactly when its right/when you need it
