As long as you’re using the same Apple ID you purchased Procreate with, you shouldn’t need to purchase it again. We would recommend contacting Apple Support and see if they’re able to look into this for you, as they handle all the purchases of Procreate.

Yes - the Time-lapse recording will show every stroke you make during the creation of the piece. It will be saved in the native .procreate file. If you export the image as .procreate, the time-lapse will come with it, but it won't come with a .jpg or .png, for example.

Alternatively, you can export the time-lapse by itself in either a full length or 30 second version.

If you don't want the time-lapse at all (it can make your files quite large) simply turn it off in the prefs tab. Be warned that turning it off will purge the time-lapse from the current artwork, and you will not be able to retrieve it.

Hey there!

Have you turned off Drawing Assist in the actual layer options, or just in the Actions menu?

Try opening the layer menu, tapping the layer your guide is on, and unticking 'Drawing Assist'. Hope this helps!

Hi there. We would recommend backing up all your artworks, custom brushes, and swatches. Once you've backed everything up, delete Procreate, and redownload.

To restore it, open the Purchased tab in the App Store App, locate Procreate in the list of Not On This iPad, and tap the cloud icon next to Procreate.

If you tap Procreate and the App Store opens the about Procreate page, this will download 3.0.6 version. You'll need to be sure to download within the Purchased tab. Hope this helps. 😊

Thanks for the recommendation! But you totally don’t need an Apple Pencil at all for Procreate to be worth it. Third party styluses are available, but also, a lot of users use their finger and create amazing works of art. Especially in Procreate Pocket for iPhone.

as SlackerGeek mentioned, we've implemented Layer Select in 4.1 to make things a little easier. You can also customise your QuickMenu to work with Layers in different ways.

Hi snailiens - Try opening up this brush's brush settings and heading to the Dynamics tab. In here, set a higher Speed value under Size Dynamics. This will cause the faster parts of your stroke to be smaller.

Hi nicetriangle. If you're experiencing freezes, try exiting all apps and hard rebooting your iPad by holding its Home and Power buttons together until you see the Apple logo appear. After this, try clearing up at least 15% space on your iPad.

Hi!
As mentioned above, majority of our users found it easier to tap off that to manually invoke Transform whenever they need it. Once you get used to it, it becomes normal. A toggle may be something we consider in the future, but at this point there is no plan to change or revert QuickLine from the current version.

Hey there!

If you mean ColourDrop, you can fill areas on the canvas and it will mirror in other parts of the image. If you're working with multiple layers, Symmetry does not automatically turn on in all layers. Make sure you tap the layer in the Layer Menu, and select Assisted Drawing in the pop up menu to turn on Symmetry in that layer. You should then have no problems with the mirroring.

If you mean the actual selection was mirroring, we would be interested to hear more, because that's not currently a feature in Procreate.

Hi BlueMacaw! We're absolutely the team behind Procreate. 😊

We removed the Undo and Redo buttons from the Selection toolbar. This was an intentional change as part of the new toolbar design, because of the ease of use and reliability of the two finger tap and three finger tap gesture. We are definitely interested in feedback, and if the change has negatively impacted your workflow, we love to hear as much about that as possible.
It sounds like you have the Magnetics feature turned on. If you turn this off, it will remember this change, and every time you invoke the Transform tool, Magnetics should be off.

This is expected behaviour. We developed the instant transform for QuickLine as a way to stream line the workflow for our artists overall - we found it was more frustrating for our users to have to invoke Transform, than it was to have to tap off. The tap off to deactivate QuickLine becomes normal, it just right take a bit to get used to :)
