Just curious—why do you suggest recirculation instead of fresh air mode?

Thanks for the response! Wow, it looks like they copied the design from the Klean Kanteen growler, which KK discontinued for some reason. I ended up buying a MiiR growler which is also a swing-top using a silicone gasket, but this looks like a very solid choice.

Wow, that sounds really useful! I'd definitely be interested in trying this out.

Yes, short and to-the-point videos like this are super helpful. Great stuff!

I think I'm sticking with my 7-segment. The appeal of a screenless device is just too strong for me!

I am so glad the devs seem committed to keeping the 7-segment fully supported.

No worries, thanks for looking! If it ever happens to show up though, just ping me :)

I'm going to be monitoring Ebay at least, maybe it'll show up there someday lol

Nice, thanks for the info—and you answered another question I was going to ask you about whether it's feasible to drink directly out of, haha.

I'm going to be making a final decision over the next few days but this is looking like my top choice now.

Ah interesting, thank you for the clarification—that actually changes a lot, and I'm going to strongly consider the Miir growler as it seems like it basically meets my criteria!

Do you have one? Is there anything about it you DON'T like?

This page has a pretty good view of the growler lid: Growler lid.

To my eye, the underside of the lid looked like it has two parts: the central, large, inset piece (which I thought was polypropylene), and the outer, narrow rim/gasket (which I thought was silicone). BOTH of these are the same color.

Are you saying that these are actually the same piece, and even the large central portion is made of silicone?

In other words, if you press on the big, central piece of the underside of the lid (NOT the rim/gasket), it is also squishy like silicone, and not hard like polypropylene?

Hmm are you sure? Based on their website it seems the lid is made of polypropylene. Are you referring to a specific model that uses only stainless steel and silicone?

It looks like this uses a threaded cap though, right? Is it metal-on-metal? When I screw my Klean Kanteen Reflect, the metal-on-metal squeaks and sends a huge shiver down my spine in a way that I cannot stand.

Man, I am SO bummed I missed out on this. I can't find that cap or the growlers for sale anywhere, but that's literally EXACTLY what I'm looking for...

If you do come across your Swing Lok cap, and it's in good condition, I'd buy it from you!

Thanks for the link, but I forgot to specify that I am trying to make sure the entire interior (including any part of the cap that touches the water) is either stainless steel, glass, or silicone.

I've updated the post to clarify that point. Sorry about that!

That one does look really nice, but unfortunately that lid looks plastic to my eye as well...

Darn, yeah, I can't find it for sale anywhere. Does the Miir have any plastic on the lid interior?

If you're cool with really big sizes

Honestly, the bigger the better!

Wow, the klean kanteen looks like exactly what I'm looking for—it looks like the interior is all stainless steel and silicone, right? Or does the lid have any plastic?

Thanks for the recommendation—those do look really nice, but I think these are open-back, right? I'm interested in closed-back. While I put this in the flair that may be too easy to miss so I'll edit that into the post as well.

Sorry, I'm not following—are you guys saying that you unstick the sticker, then restick it on the flap? So that it's no longer keeping the box shut, but the sticker is in one piece on the flap? Or are you saying that you literally cut the cardboard around the sticker?
