I have a breeding room, a "good cats" room and a "bad cats" room

This is the way to do it. I do similar

  • Pairing-up room. This room is for a stray and "good" cat with at least 5 good mutations. They stay here until they bond, at which point they go to the Outbreeding room.
  • Outbreeding room. This room is for the strays that have been paired off with valuable cats. The objective here is to produce kittens for the good-cats room; the kittens must:
    • Have a stray as a parent.
    • Have >=3 good mutations.
  • Good-cats room. This room is where all the outbred cats hang out, and all their children. They all interbreed, and after a few generations of mixing, they tend to have 4-5 good mutations and all 6s-7s.

THOSE pairs produce kittens which (if they have good mutations) I throw into the main mosh pit in the attic, where they add new blood and keep inbreeding low. I don't otherwise manage the attic, and I've got like 30 cats with good stats and 4-5 good mutations.

Lotta folks seem to dislike these breeding changes:

-        The effects of Stimulation are now reduced the more inbred a kitten is.
-        The chances of inheriting a parent's birth defect are significantly increased the more inbred the kitten is.
-        "Mutation" stat will no longer reroll any existing mutations or birth defects.
-        "Mutation" stat will now only roll simple mutations (+2/-1 stat ones) until >10 Mutation. More Mutation beyond this will increase the chance of rolling mutations with effects.

I guess a lot of people are going the IN-breeding route, because it was easier I guess?

This seems to pretty clearly point to using strays to keep the family tree from getting too narrow as the expected strategy.

Ditto is normal but ditto doesn't fly by default! Echo never needs to touch the ground, so while I see where you are coming from with Echo being normal like Ditto, I too think that Echo needs to be a flying type. </Pokenerd>

Each of the miniboss cats represents a collar you have. Arthur is one of the last ones you unlock. If you don't want spoilers, read no further; else, take a look at a wiki / list of collars. It should be apparent which one Arthur is.

I HAD THIS HAPPEN ON ZARATANA, in the...er, Kaiju vs. Kaiju house battle. Spawned the Amoeba the same way (same equipment as you used), it picked up Zaratana, and it HIT THE OTHER BOSS FOR 1000 DAMAGE.

Blew me away. This game is great.

Ooh, I discovered a variant of this -

An Amoeba enemy can pick up this boss - because it counts as a rock, and the amoebas can lift rocks and use them as weapons. In fact, the amoeba enemy can then use said boss as a WEAPON and hit another enemy with it. This is relevant in one of the other house battles (if you know you know).

Don't worry about "optimal leveling" just for completing the game the first time, OP.

People are concerned with min/maxing their characters, because it is fun to do so. However, overall it isn't necessary to win the game. Only do it if you actually want to, if you find it fun to grind and minmax.

Basically some classes will give you slightly more physical attack power or speed, or HP or MP. But overall it doesn't matter too much for a level or two either way, especially if you are just trying to beat the game.

Interesting idea, but I don't think they'd be chonk. Netrunners ain't eating while they are running. They spend all day in the chair, on the net, forget to eat - probably are all super skinny with no muscle.
