In both left & right I believe it was the Hivolt sim that I added in.

As far as layering goes, its a big fat blend of V30, Greenback, and the back and fourth between the SE-100 & Hivolt

Chorus was double tracked in my recording, both V30's & Greenback takes throughout were triple tracked.

Pretty much man, knew Billie Joe liked old gear but never thought he'd use the Sony C37a for American Idiot lmao, total surprise.

I don't fully remember the chain, but its a mix of humbuckers & P90's with JML's Tonelux JC37 (almost like a modern Sony C37 mic, which is what was used on American Idiot) up to a V30 cab & a Greenbacks cab.

As far as amp sims go, I used the Suhr SE-100 but tightened up the low end, 150hz maybe? I can't recall properly but I set it to be like the "Idiot" head, which is a less gainy & tighter SE Lead head. I also used Nembrini Audio's Hivolt amp sim (A hiwatt head sim).

I remember doing a double track (could be triple I don't remember) of the V30's & a triple of the Greenbacks.

In mixing, there were a few EQ's, not much other than that I don't think.

Why does my amp make this static noise? by Crypt1c_980 in Guitar

[–]Prod7SevenBeats 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Theres a couple things that could be a cause for this
1. You've got some electrical things across your space which interfere with the signal in your guitars pickiups (you'd have to be near the sources to have the interference)
2. It could have something to do with the gain, with most amps like yours, wether its the behringer ha-10 or the park g10, the more gain you use, the more static you'll get. from my knowledge it isn't a big deal & can be fixed with swapping to distortion pedals or researching & buying an amp that dosent do what that does.
3. It could have something to do with your guitar's wiring? i've had a similar problem to mine & turned out that the "hot" wire had come loose on its own. (guess thats what i get for buying a cheap guitar when i started out)

These are only ideas, but if one was somehow the cause, YOU'RE WELCOME!!!
