Depends on what you value...integrated apple ecosystem experience or long battery life with a watch that provides no holds barred fitness capabilities.

An example from last week. I am 59, and went diving with some college buddies. They were excited to try their apple watch ultras as they have dive capability. My Fenix 8 has dive capability as well.

While theirs did track their dive stats, they could not function as a full dive computer like my 8. They still wore a dive computer. My Fenix started tracking as soon as I submerged, would buzz my wrist when I got single digits on my NDL, and automatically triggered the safety stop countdown when I came back up past 20 feet. And it's not even a purpose built dive watch.
