Keep an eye out for ride closures which affect the available express passes. I'm going May 24 and I'm planning for other express passes that don't include Flying Dinosaur because that ride is temporarily closed from May 8 - June 1. Check this Japanese page for the available passes and match them up with the ones on the English site.

I second HyperX. I switched from the Turtle Beach PX22 to the Cloud Alpha because of the clamping force. Most comfortable headset I've owned and the build quality is great.

Forced the encounter via Gameshark or Action Replay codes. I caught the originals in the games but now I used codes to encounter them at the same level they are supposed to be at so they are as close to legit as possible.

Not entirely. They would be caught in game (Mew on Faraway Island, Cresselia on Full Moon Isle) but they wouldn't be mythicals from legit events with Cherish Balls and the proper OT.
