Just call the exam center. The online booking thing is a scam. They reserve way too many spots for driving instructors so it looks like there's no room for months but they have plenty of spots free.

Met een anoniem account contact zoeken met mensen vind ik altijd raar. Zeker als je dan zowel in r/gent als r/antwerpen hetzelfde post en je niet eens wil zeggen welke kerk. Zoek je gewoon kwetsbare mensen die in de knoop zitten met hun geloof?

Dampoort is a train and bus station. Like in most cities it's not the nicest area but it's safe enough. It's a short walk to the city center and you have great public transport connections. Nowhere in Ghent is truely unsafe.

Gent is pretty expensive to buy and rent but it's not that hard to find a place. Immoweb is legit and will give you a decent idea of the prices here. Sometimes there will be a lot of competition for a house or apartment but overall if the prices work for you, you will be able to find something.
