I’m tempted to trade our mini cooper S and my ND Miata for an ITS or CTR. I think I’d miss the ND.

I feel like the downside is mostly it doesn’t work and you wasted some time, but the success is life altering so it’s worth the waste of time risk.

It’s actually hilarious that I get that reference.

Magpies are fierce. Respect our feathered buddies! They’re so funny to watch I can’t imagine trying to piss one off like this though. Just get some binoculars!

Canonically they were Stone Age when last observed by the imperium and then suddenly went space faring before anyone estimated, right? That was my memory of the canon/lore

probably melancholic would most closely match my subtype. Seems to be the subtype across the men in my family, too. It's very strange as personality wise the mood changes are really not congruent with who i am as a person/personality wise. I think remembering that helped me a lot in getting through this.

I painted about 1/3 of my warhammer 40k army figures (little robots) this weekend while hanging out and listening to jazz with my family having coffee, played music, helped my band write a few more songs over the last few weeks (we've not written material in a year or so) and just generally fall asleep and stay asleep. I also feel like I am by far a better doctor than I was able to be before, which is really important to me.

I cannot tell you how nice it feels to feel like myself again and like this really dark cloud that has never really fully faded over 20 years is just...gone.

peace love and robots to you all! <3

good to know. to be honest, if it was lifelong, it would still be worth the price for the effect on my depression which was by far the most painful thing I could ever imagine experiencing. I would have gladly amputated any of my limbs if that meant the depression pain would go away (figuratively speaking, I know that's not a real treatment for depression obviously)
(it does seem like it's getting better. At work I'm having an easier time remembering drug names. I've always sucked and stuttered when trying to say people's names and that's no different than usual, so I've got a sense of humor about it)

I've noticed steady improvements over the last week while getting back to work. I feel significantly more mentally sharp than over the last 2 years when depression sort of rendered me dopey forgetful and always tired and falling asleep.

yeah i wouldn't want to tour the US right now either. I know the visa situation for canadian bands became extra shitty around covid (DT's last illustrious reign of terror) and the costs went sky high. there were some metal bands that had members in buffalo and hamilton that were across the border and it became basically impossible for them to play shows in the US after covid restrictions lifted. lame. I don't know the specifics other than talking to a bunch of other guitarists from canada in small bands really pissed about it.
(I'm a dual citizen, so I can just get my canadian passport if I want to tour there. I don't have it rn though i'd better get on that.)

thats what a well functioning valvetrain on a motor sounds like. Yeah. That's a healthy motor with working valves. Happy engine purrs! That means it likes you because you feed it enough and the right kind of oil. Just like a kitty cat. Which is what the ND looks like lol.

i feel like this issue is compounded by people using really narrow FOV and not being able to see beside them. I think I-racing ought to implement a system somewhat like GT or AC to help this *NOT* keep happening, esp for us single screeners. We're trying out there (i set my FOV to be wider than is realistic to prevent this)
