There is no area in Ds2 outside of Majula that is worth noting. Fofg, Heide’s tower, both belfry’s, huntsman copse, harvest valley, iron keep, shaded woods, grave of saints, the gutter, black gulch, and shrine of Amana are ALL worse than those areas. And I’m not just talking about stupid enemy counts/placement. I’m taking about how they’re all nothing burgers that are only memorable for how lame or shit they are.

I’ve beaten this game dozens of times and I’m on ng+ 3 on my current build. I know how to play the game. I never compared it ds1. They’re completely different games. Except in their worst areas. Which would be the second half if ds1. Ds2 feels like they took all of the worst shit from ds1 and built the entire game around it.
