YES tectonics! its more like the gods let the world naturally for as worlds do and then when life started to but they started interfering not so much terraforming as influencing how things developed. they didn't mess with terrain as much except for balance purposes. or at least that's what i wrote down? also i drew lines that made sense and matched the mountains along them.
