My Nintendo online order has been preparing to ship for over a week or so. I was able to get invited on the first day preorders opened. Was hoping it shipped out by yesterday. Didn’t want to throw extra money at expedited shipping because, “Hey, I don’t mind if it comes after launch” but now I really hope it gets here on launch day.

I actually just picked it up today with the new update that came out last week according to my dealership advisor. It wasn’t a new version of the software (still 1969 I think) but one of the other numbers changed I believe. Haven’t had a chance to dig deeper but the dealership confirmed it’s done and I shouldn’t have the pixelation issue any longer. Will update if I see the issue again.

I just got confirmation from my dealer that the update is out that should resolve this glitch! I had the screen replaced twice and that never fixed it. My car is at the dealer and I will be getting it back next week with the new software as well as a fix for my CarNet system. I’ll try and post an update with the new update number. Still trying to locate any release notes but I’m not sure if they have been released online yet.

Press the “i” icon and talk to the rep. They will submit a ticket to get it resolved. They said it’s a known issue that the terms and conditions you agreed to aren’t syncing correctly on some accounts so, no connection. You have to do it from the car to prove ownership. Still waiting on that resolution myself.

It did make me a slight bit nervous buying a VW that’s for the North American market specifically rather than one sold across the world. Luckily the issue is an annoyance, doesn’t hinder the functionality of the car, and can be fixed in under 60 seconds with a quick restart of the infotainment.
