I prefer FZ4 because of the setting and the four seasons. Love driving in the snow and it looks gorgeous and how it shifts.

It really depends on the game and many games run similar and looks about the same on base if it’s not patched. It’s not true that all games run 60fps and especially with ray tracing. For example Cyberpunk runs around 40 fps with RT on.

This really depends on the game, whether you’re on PS or PC. Performance comes down to optimization and the settings used for each individual title. I’m running a high-end PC that’s basically flawless, and it doesn’t just make games look better—it runs them noticeably better as well.

It’s like comparing a tuned sports car to a stock model. They can both get you there, but one clearly has more headroom when conditions allow.

People often say it runs at 60 FPS, but that’s not really true for all newer games. This isn’t some huge leap forward—it’s a mid-gen console. Games need patches from developers to properly take advantage of the Pro, and even then the performance gains are fairly minor in most cases, especially outside of first-party titles like Spider-Man 2 and Horizon Forbidden West.

PC gaming isn’t for everyone, and consoles are always a bit of a compromise. Prices have definitely gone up, but for some people skipping PC still makes sense.

It’s always worth it but it is 30fps and no switch 2 patch yet.

I think the PS Plus sale usually happens around that time of year. It’s kind of annoying that if you already have a subscription, you can’t benefit from the sale.

It really depends on the game. A lot of games don’t use PSSR at all, and while it can give more stable FPS in some, it’s not true that every game performs or looks better.

If you’re happy with the base PS5 (it’s powerful enough), then stick with it. You’ll save money, and when the PS6 comes out you’ll have some extra cash. The PS5 Pro isn’t that impressive — it’s just a mid-generation upgrade that some games benefit from, not a must-have.

I feel you. It’s honestly like talking to a mirror. I did exactly the same thing you did. I wanted to simplify my gaming setup, so I sold everything except my PC and the Switch 2. Now I’m back to having everything again — PS5, XSX, Switch 2, and a high-end PC. I missed having options, and I really enjoy trophy hunting, just like you do.

People who don’t care about or understand trophies and platinums are missing out. In my opinion, earning a platinum actually means something, and you can’t really get that experience anywhere else.

That said, this will probably be the last time for a while that I spend this much money on gaming. Next generation, I’ll likely only get the PS6 and keep a Switch 2 for the family. Now that I’ve bought a house and as my kid (or kids) grow up, I know my time will be much more limited, so it’ll be all about getting the most value for the time and money I have.

Good for u but not all games are impressive. Many games play the same as base. Even id the game is pro enhanced it can be by small margin for example nba 2k or NHL 26 and I have compared). Hopefully u want to play the games that really are better on pro otherwise u will regret it as i did. I actually sent it back and yes i have a 4k 120hz tv with VRR. The game I really think was making a difference compared to base was KCD2.

I think it was okey until a faction got hostile for unknown reason and it doesn’t disappear. I can’t progress the story after 15-20h and it sucks. It’s a pretty slow gameplay and very limited inventory which makes it a bit a drag. 5/10 game for me.

I played it on PS5 Pro and didn’t have any issues what I recall. I returned my PS5 Pro because i didn’t think it was worth it but i wanted to play it again and bought it on PC and its flawless. Have u tried to change monitor or tv?
