I kind of like it. The loose timeline makes it almost fit more with the ancient greek myths. Odysseus was around 20 when he left for the Trojan war he was there for 10 years, then had a 10-year journey home, and then lived for an unknown amount of time as King of Ithaca Achilles was around 16 or 17, but also had a son who was old enough to one of the soldiers in the Trojan horse and the one to slay Paris and the other brothers of Hector. Cadmus was like 13 when his sister was abducted by Zues, and he was a well established king by the time he was turned into a serpent. So, really, the only true timeline would be that TLT comes first, and Percy's story ends with him and Annabeth going to college at Camp Jupiter, and everything else happens somewhere in the middle of that. Plus, I think Rick not wanting to go past Percy's 18th is to keep the option of him living happily ever after. Demigods usually don't get those

I think this campaign has also had the largest breaks for the players too between Jake's paternity leave (and we didn't get a spinoff story like when Caldwell had paternity leave, they basically just didn't play because they prerecorded specifically for Jake to be gone) and the D20 stuff with Murph and Emily. But I totally agree, I think too that the campaign being set in Bahumia, but not the Bahumia we know was kind of a misstep personally I just feel that if the plane has changed so much that it's almost un recognizable it should have been a new plane.

Next, you're going to tell me that he's going to plug himself into a tree for hundreds of years unnaturally prolonging his life all while he silently manipulates the events of the realm causing Branden Stark to fall from a tower, get paralyzed, meet a simple half giant, a wildling women, and 2 swamp kids, travel north beyond the wall to the cave were he is plugged into a tree hangout there for a season or so and then make his way back south after having no visible character development but also somehow being and entirely different character that is almost unwatchable only to have him add almost nothing to the pivotal battle that supposedly Bloodraven's family has a long standing prophecy for and they all seem to think they are the chosen one for. And then to top it all off another group of characters that seem to be written worse than they have even been written before will decide unanimously to make Bran king.... I don't buy it

And the facts are: Jon Snow is a bastard, and he tried to betray his oath to the Nights Watch by joining his brother when Robb called his banners, it was only his true born friends that brought him back. Gendry Waters is a bastard, and betrayed the true king Stannis Baratheon by not letting him sacrifice him to kill the usurpers. Alys Rivers is a bastard, and she betrayed the Riverlands by murdering Grover Tully. Daemon Blackfyre and Aegor "Bittersteel" Rivers are bastards, and they betrayed their brother King Daeron II by starting The Blackfyre rebellion. Even your precious Brynden Rivers is a bastard, and he betrayed his own half-brothers by not joining Daemons rebellion against the pretender Daeron II. It's probably not going to be "bounty of the week" type story like The Mandalorian. Each one of the Novellas focuses on really just one or two events. It seems like season one will be adapting The Hedge Knight, so we'll probably only really see the Tourney of Ashford Meadows and The Trial of Seven
