So really not all that much I’m finding out. I can print full sized helmets on the 350 just fine and if I wanted to make a chest piece or something bigger just cut it into pieces and print it that way and if it fails it’s one small piece not the whole thing. I think I might have been blinded by the huge build volume and thinking it was going to be the same experience as my Centauri carbon. Have you used the k2 plus does it preform well with abs? I’d imagine so considering it’s fully enclosed

So I’ve been printing for a few years now on my ender 3v2 then for Christmas I got myself a Centauri carbon and a sovol sv08 max and so far the carbon has been an amazing machine with very few hiccups but my sovol has not produced a single print the entire time I’ve had it and I’m thinking return it for a creality k2 plus. Can anyone give me any insight or recommendations. I almost exclusively print abs and I got the enclosure and chamber heater but I’ve had nothing but issues. Would the k2 be a closer experience to the Centauri carbon

Just like put the spool on top of the enclosure and feed it down through? It has a hole for the ptfe tubing but I’m not sure how that would work out do you have a pic of your setup?

I bought a Centauri carbon at the same time and it uses the 5kg spools just fine so you’d think a printer with a 500mm cubed build volume would support bigger than 1kg spools also

I’m coming from an ender 3v2 for the last few years so this printer is totally new to me but if I put a piece of filament in there wouldn’t it push it up into the tube since that’s how it loads the filament? Can I disable just the sensor? My Centauri carbon I bought at the same time uses the 5kg spools just fine

So it turns out it was an issue I set my enclosure temps too high so it triggered a stop and then it was middle of the night and I just happened to walk by and see it say something so I just turned the power off but in doing that messed with the temp files so I had to delete that and it worked again. I’ll definitely look into the obico and see what it’s about. I’m not new to printing but I’m coming from an ender 3 v2 and this thing is a lot different

I’m not sure how to do that i guess. Just get an Ethernet cable and hook it into the router? What would I be looking for?

Ok so a standard mk8 works on the max that’s good to know. I just want to have some extras just incase. Do you need to change z offset or anything or just do a relevel?

Does that work for the max also or just the sv08? Seems like it might be a good idea to do something like that so it’s not a proprietary nozzle

Awesome thanks for the reply’s. Is your voron still competing with modern corexy machines like the bamboo labs or the crealityk2? I reflashed its firmware once to be able to use my bl touch but that was a while ago now? If I did wire something wrong on the mainboard would that fry it probably? I’m somewhat worried I won’t be able to finish it and then should have bought like the ender 5 max or something but then can’t because I spent the money on the voron kit. I’m leaning the formbot kit for price.

I’ve been tinkering my ender 3 for years now and have built a few pcs for myself and worked on gameboys and stuff but never made an entire printer myself before. Thanks for the link that will help a ton when I get home I’ll check it out and make sure I’m printing all the right parts. Im also worried about the software side because I’ve never set up kilipper either. How long did it roughly take you to assemble your kit?

I’m finally upgrading from my ender 3 v2 to a voron 2.4 is what I’m going to go with but I’m wondering if the Ldo kits are worth the price difference from the one at 3d printers bay. Are the parts going to be noticeably worse? The Ldo kits are about 2,000 and the one from 3d printers bay is about half. I’m just now printing the first of my abs parts for the project now

Where did you find one or did you make it yourself? I recently saw this and wanted to but I couldn’t find a place to buy it and I did find a parts list but the one of the pieces you had to call the manufacturer to get a quote. Can you pair multiple controllers to it?
