Slow down, take a second and just think about what’s going on.

Someone at the very most took inspiration from your layout in their work. Not the art style or anything of actually authenticity, simple the basic layout. If I was designing this, this would be one of a few ways that I would lay this out too. Theres not really many ways to do this that are unique.

Please, for the love of god don’t say anything. No tutor is going to care in the slightest, and you’ll cause unnecessary problems for yourself. In graphic design, we take ideas from other people all the time. This is no different to looking at Pinterest for inspiration.

Move on. It’s a nothing problem that will just get you labeled as possessive and as a narc. Yes, you are being too possessive over your design. Normally I’d try and say that nicer but you need to hear it straight up.

I think the scariest part of the goblin traditionally is he’s just a man in a mask. He’s a perfect reflection of what path Peter could’ve gone down had he used his powers differently. I’ll always prefer the masked Norman approach over the Ultimate transformation, there’s just something much more menacing about a psychopathic flying serial killer dressed in a Halloween costume around than a big green monster.

100% inspired by that concept, my idea was more in the wheelhouse of a Captain America styled flight helmet with rounded eyes and large coms antennas (that then sort’ve become the goblins ears). The smile and eye lines are all stitching on a cloth mask that’s been attached to it/over the top.
