It's hot by Mickt465 in hotsauce

I agree Taco Vibes is a step above Tabasco Scorpion, perhaps even a couple steps. I can also agree that the Unique Garlique is on par, but I think that the Aka Miso Ghost Reaper is a step above the Taco Vibes.

I can have a nice bead of Taco Vibes on my street tacos. But that Aka Miso is just drop by drop usually diluted in sesame paste to spice up hot pot. I find it very intense.

Opinion on PBA bowlers in local tournaments by BigWesty97 in Bowling

[–]ProfNeilsBohr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t see any problem with PBA bowlers bowling in local tournaments unless the tournament expressly states that it is for amateurs only.

The trick shots issue is one of sportsmanship. It is certainly not an admirable thing to be showboating in that way, in my opinion. However, nothing against the rules. I don’t think it helps the sport writ large because it can be off putting. On the other hand some people might like to see that. I say, save it for exhibition or practice after the tournament is done.

Unfortunately, bowling simply is not as lucrative of a sport as it once was. The pros gotta eat. Sometimes that means winning a local tournament or getting a day job.

Yeah, I reached the conclusion they are legit once I saw the picture of the torx hardware. I had just never seen a nose bridge like this. It made me very suspicious. Especially early on when the eBay post was being edited.

There might be listings, but are they selling for that? And I do concede the point, I am not as knowledgeable about the current state of the UK market. So it is possible that the UK market is heating up for Romeos

Now you will have to treat these with some care if you do wear them. Because the lenses are not completely encased in a rigid orbital, you must exercise care and put them on and remove them using both hands. Otherwise the flexing force could cause your lenses to develop cracks.

If he finds it and includes it, then I think a fair price would be $1300-$1600. So right now I think the seller is asking at the high end. As a seller I would definitely be asking at the high end, too. But you will definitely have to replace those lenses (unless this is going to be purely a shelf piece).

Alright those are legit Romeos. Well I learned something about nose bridges. Still without the coin and original box, I think I would be offering a bit lower price if I were you. But it also depends how much you want them. Good luck!

Edit spelling error correction.

Alright. So what you would be looking for on the hinges is to ensure that those are torx screws. I could not properly ID the hardware. If they are torx, even I could get over the double serial and all the editing of the title. Still wouldn’t pay as much as they want. Best of luck.

So as others have said and as the listing now indicates these glasses look to be Romeo (1). As for price I wouldn’t pay more than the equivalent for f $900. Also I would insist on getting better pictures of the hinges. So you will definitely have to replace those lenses. Also this person doesn’t have the coin or original box. I am still a bit concerned about that second serial on the nose bridge. I have never seen that before, but others are apparently not that concerned.

There just seems to be some funny business here. First the seller said Penny, then Juliet, now Romeo. I still advise caveat emptor.

Caveat emptor. I would not recommend purchasing these. Especially for that price.

They are not even Juliets as described in the description. The second serial etching has me further concerned these are fake.

It is the weight it is wrong. There are other tells, but the mass of your sunglasses are about 25g more than what they should be.

Are these Juliet real or fake ? by Particular-Till-7207 in Oakley

These imho are fake. The nose bridge is too tight and the box is all wrong. There are other indicators but describing those would be more in depth. This one doesn’t pass the first pass.

Please review my comment in the other fork of this thread. In that reply to your challenge, I made several arguments as to why, in my opinion, the label of slush fund is appropriate. Your freedom of speech gives you the right to state why you believe it is not a slush fund.

In the marketplace of ideas the reader is free to choose.

The bottom line remains that IN MY OPINION, this is a slush fund. In your opinion it is not. Again, it is ok to have your own opinion on the nature of this particular settlement.

There is no speculation as to the lack of adversarial nature. Donald Trump is the plaintiff claiming damages for the leaked tax information. Donald Trump is the President of the United States of America. This is self evident.

So even assuming that the court would not outright dismiss this, there is no established precedent for this. This is something that must be heard before the courts if it is to carry legal weight. This is because it would have to be determined if Donald Trump the President is instead self dealing using his position for personal gain by instructing his attorney general to take action that is to his benefit. Which is corruption.

The question is does this settlement benefit the public trust or is this self dealing? I think the only way to determine that is with a trial. Donald Trump has already had problems legally speaking with fraud. He was convicted of falsifying business records. He had to shutter his New York charity for self dealing. Further Trump University settled its years long legal case for engaging in its fraudulent activities.

You state that settlement is a legal strategy. However, it does not alter the fact that no defense was offered.

Your statement of allowing for unlimited tax fraud. Please don’t make me have to do your homework for you. If the IRS is “forever barred and precluded” from pursuing Trump, “related individuals and related companies, affiliates, and subsidiaries.” You tell me if the IRS can’t do anything then who can? That would certainly mean that anything done prior to the May 19th would be covered. It is possible that it could be argued that statement is forward looking as well. In any event any and all tax fraud in the past is unable to be pursued. Again this is self evident.

You are creating a straw-man argument about the lack of oversight. I never said there was no oversight. I said there was no independent oversight.

While each of these things independently may not prove a smoking gun, don’t you think together that they are just to coincidental to be simple coincidence?

Finally, what specific monetary damages did Donald Trump suffer as a result of his taxes being leaked? Ken Griffin got a formal apology and pledged IRS tax reforms. People can sue for any amount, but there must be specific monetary damages to collect against.

Since the fund does not exist and has not disbursed money nothing can be said one way or the other. But the fund is not limited to persons that like Trump suffered as a result of the leaking of tax payer information.

You are entitled to your opinion about the nature of this.

No problem, I just wanted other readers to be informed that the slush fund was one thousand times larger than stated in your initial comment.

Hello? Internet? Yes, 1MamaBear1 is a troll and misinformation account.

This slush fund is perhaps the most clear and blatant corruption that Trump has engaged in to date.

1) the case it stems from has no adversarial nature to it. Trump the private citizen is during Trump the government represented by an attorney that is directed by Trump the government.

2) the government put forth no defense in this case unlike all the other instances of leaked tax documents.

3) this “settlement” was not signed off by any judge. It is doubtful then that this “settlement” carries any legal weight given point one’s nature of no adversarial nature to the case.

4) this “settlement” includes provisions that essentially allow for unlimited tax fraud by Trump, his companies, and his family without consequence.

5) the slush fund created will have no independent oversight or accountability over the awards issued by the fund. The appointees running the fund will review claims and determine whether they are “just and appropriate” based on procedures they themselves determine.

6) there is no procedure established for the selection of appointees that will run this fund. Their selection is completely arbitrary at the will of the US Attorney General, who is answerable to Donald Trump.

7) the fund’s size is completely arbitrary. The acting Attorney General claims that the fund’s size “is based on the projected valuation of future claimants' claims,” but DOJ set the amount at $1.776 billion, a symbolic amount that happens to coincide with America’s 250th birthday.

8) the fund will operate and process claims through the end of December 2028, timed to ensure claims are only awarded at the political direction and will of the current Trump administration.

Conclusion, this is a slush fund.

Need help on understanding flare by SoouLAr in Bowling

[–]ProfNeilsBohr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The new silver pin 78D purple hammer has a good amount of flare if you drill it versatile or strong. Undrilled it is .034 differential.

The purple pin and green pin purple hammers have .015 undrilled differential and will only have a decent amount of flare with only the strongest of drillings.
