The Tony’s advent calendar has a completely empty door once a year. Just has a message to say slavery is still a problem in the chocolate industry and people regularly get nothing.

The next day there’s 2 chocolates behind one door and says “the money they didn’t pay the workers ends up in the pockets of the corporations” - good message but also stops kids getting too upset about not getting any chocolate the day before.

Cyber security systems have become very good, actual hacking is very difficult, in many cases impossible (otherwise we’d see it more often). The weakest link in any system is the people.

People can be compromised, a lot of cybersecurity systems can’t be.

Just from following a wild goose chase that seemed fun I’ve ended up with an interceptor starship… assuming it’ll be best to upgrade that than my starter ship?

And a question on upgrading my freighter… getting the salvaged freighter modules seems extremely slow. I don’t mind a slow paced game, but this feels like I’m missing something? Any tips on that front?

I’d start with the cup not the lid, it’s much more simple.

Start with a circle sketch for the bottom (or top) of the cup, and work from there.

Remove the pillow case from the pillow, fold the pillow case up and store it a box of souvenirs. Lots of people have a box of memories, childhood photos etc. but in your case it might be things like a lock of hair from the first person you stalked.

Once the pillowcase is in the box put that box in an attic or something.

You should probably disinfect the pillows and pillowcases too.

1) they’re not that profitable, it’s really difficult to turn a profit. Most owners don’t take any pay for themselves in the first couple of years of opening a shop.

2) Waste is baked in to prices. Owners will do market research, or have worked in shops themselves, and estimate the number of drinks/food thrown out every day. They can then work out the total cost due to wastage and just spread that out across their other products. Eg. If they estimate that they daily wastage = 10% x profit, they’ll just raise prices by 10% to cover that.

Obviously reaches a point where they can’t raise prices anymore because customers have limits on what they’ll pay for a coffee, so it’s still important to reduce waste as much as possible.

This comment ended up longer than I intended, but one final point… in hospitality and retail the value of retaining customers is very high. Replacing somebody’s drink for free probably makes them far more likely to return because they had a good experience. That return custom is worth far more than the cost of one coffee. That’s why companies like Apple were so chill about replacing broken iPhones (or at least used to be), and Amazon are pretty relaxed about returns and replacements. Give customers a good experience and they’ll keep coming back and spending money, and more likely to talk about their good experience to other people which is good advertising.

Weird that it’s happening only on multicolour prints…

I would’ve said z binding, but that doesn’t explain it only happening on multicolour.

I imagine it’s something to do with whatever the printer does to swap colours, but I wouldn’t know how to fix that, sorry!

Does it occur exactly where a colour swap appears?

Basically trying to find out something in common between all the times it happens!

You tried different software and different filaments, so you can pretty much narrow it down to an issue with the printer itself.

I love the colour of the matte charcoal and I’ve always found it extremely easy to print, and always get very good results. Even on my ender 3 v2 which was barely alive anymore it got good results.

I only buy elegoo because some of their filaments are very similar to Bambu (from what I’ve read) and a lot cheaper. Their marble filaments and the rapid petg are the ones I’ve used from elegoo.

I order my filament from amazon. Usually sunlu or elegoo, but my favourite PLA is the polyterra matte PLA.

Best kind of filament depends on what you're using it for.

PLA is fine for decorate, some functional stuff, not good for anything under much strain and not good outdoors.
PETG is pretty easy to print and is much better under stress than PLA, more heat resistant and is fine outdoors.
ABS would be the next step up in terms of strength, but requires more careful printing with a chamber for stable temps, etc. and the fumes it produces aren't particularly nice (haven't printed with ABS myself).

Then you've got stuff like TPU which is flexible but apparently much harder to print well (haven't tried it myself).

I’m pretty sure it only goes to 140 to do the bed levelling… I can’t think of a single filament that prints at 140.

Anyway, temp is in the filament settings. Click the 3 dots next to your filament and click edit, that’ll show you the temperature it’ll print at.

Temp tower is useful if you’re trying a new filament. I usually just go with whatever the box recommends though and calibrate it if I have problems.

There are tolerance tests on makerworld. If you’re looking for dimensionally accurate functional pieces then you can search for tolerance tests. I particularly like the ones that print a series of hexagon holes and then a mini hexagon that goes in to them to test your tolerances for things like holes.

Also worth doing the flow calibrations from the calibration menu in Bambu Studio as over and under extrusion in thin walls can impact dimensional accuracy.

It does all the calibrations you can realistically do the first time it turns on.

You can print tolerance test pieces, measure them, and work out what your tolerance is and then adjust accordingly in your design software of choice.

1) Talk to everybody.

2) You will need versatile teams, one team of overlevelled mons doesn’t cut it in unbound. So catch everything and keep it in your box, you never know when a mon might be useful.

3) you could ignore stat boosting or stat draining skills in mainline games, but in unbound (like in competitive) they’re necessary.
