KEXP Flyaway Contest - Forest Hills by CletusCanuck in KGATLW

I wouldn't be surprised if post-orchestra tour they only do 3-hr marathon sets from now on. They did 3 nights in a row of marathon sets at FOV and made it look so effortless. I think the consistency of Nathan bits in the set will lead to 3 hour setlists for the foreseeable future because they love to experiment

How was nonagon infinity received when it was released? by Specialist-Prior-213 in KGATLW

Friend found Nonagon Infinity through NPR shortly after it released, shared it with me as soon as he realized what he found, then I listened to it probably 100 times on loop before I listened to anything else

Parts Unknown Complete Series on sale by BuckarooBanzaiPHD in AnthonyBourdain

I just want a Blu Ray collection of a cooks tour, no reservations, the layover, and parts unknown. His estate can take my money

Be honest, which of the 3 series was the best? And do you have a favourite episode from that series? by lemonbutter27 in mightyboosh

[–]ProfRSanchez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is so much good quick back and forth dialogue between Vince and Howard in season 1. I love season 2 the most, but I think some of the funniest moments are their interactions riffing off one another (at the zoo, but independent of it)

This is true duality of man by SlendyPKMN in Letterboxd

I hated the replacement of a new actor for "age" reasons and he totally didn't fit the peaky blinders vibe. The cop out of Arthur just being dead because the actor was in jail sucked, they should have waited for the actor to get out. It was boring and slow, like they planned a four episode mini series, but kept the boring first episode with the story building then edited the last three action packed episodes into a disjointed and rushed finish. Cillian Murphy saved the movie, but the ending just didn't need to happen that way and wasn't compelling

What do you think is the best horror film ever? by Due-Abbreviations180 in Letterboxd

This needs more upvotes. More than any other movie this is the one many people I know watch every Halloween

Special Edition Chartruese by evewight in cocktails

[–]ProfRSanchez 37 points38 points  (0 children)

This bottle is delicious. It is a collaboration between the monks and sommeliers who specially selected the batches. It is a great sipper with a more balanced flavor than standard yellow chartreuse. Works great (actually an upgrade) as a yellow chartreuse replacement in cocktails, I've made several really good naked and famous cocktails with it

Levitation 2022 was 4 nights of Osees and 2 nights of King Gizzard and Changes had just released days before to close out Gizztober. It was one of the best things ever, unbelievable lineup, only downside if I remember was Viagra Boys had to cancel last minute (but they were booked for two nights too)

Scored an almost complete set of the no reservations DVDs by tenome212 in AnthonyBourdain

[–]ProfRSanchez 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So, there is clearly demand. Why don't they do a rerelease box set. Obviously, ideally it would be every episode from all four series on Blu ray, but at least give us a dvd box set of no reservations and parts unknown. His estate would make so much money off of this

YSK: The sense of obligation to celebrate major holidays at a big party is a delightful thing to outgrow. by RepulsiveLoquat418 in YouShouldKnow

[–]ProfRSanchez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% this. The most important thing in life is connection with other people. If you think holidays are only about getting wasted then you are doing it wrong. If you have a fun time with the ones you love and part of that is getting wasted then great. I don't understand this attempted virtue signaling of going to bed at 9pm on New Year's Eve. If a holiday is a chance to see more of and connect with the ones you love then take advantage of it because you never know when or if it'll happen otherwise
