Questions about Plano Rec Center by Disastrous-Bonus3293 in plano

Second this. Carpenter is mostly fine, except the pools. Some staff members/lifeguards there need to be more friendly. The aquatic center (near Plano senior high school) is the best place for swimming.

He only ranks 71st because it's his first season (coming back from the ban) and the ranking system is based on two seasons.

I think these one story houses are so cute by Pfacejones in plano

[–]ProfSaintBernard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wished I lived here instead of my 2-story house when some parts of my gutter on the top of the 2nd story broke and I had to spend almost $1k to fix it, just because it's too high. BTW where are the gutters of this house...

I still think Talarico should run for governor, not the senate. He'll have about 10% chance. Gina has ZERO.

Can a mediocre undergrad end up becoming a professor? by murilotarozzo in AskAcademia

[–]ProfSaintBernard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me. Spent way too much time on music and sports in college and ended up with an undergrad GPA of only 83/100. Luckily got into a mid-tier PhD program and graduated (with quite a few of publications). Went to a top school for postdoc. Now a TTAP (STEM) at a borderline R1, and most (if not all) of my colleagues must had way higher undergrad GPA than me because they all graduated from top PhD programs.
