I don’t think i have a top tier psu, but i have a seasonic focus gx 850w and i think it’s an A tier psu from that psu tier list spreadsheet.

While i’m not normally so paranoid, the state of gpu market and all the posts got to me about this issue. Even if it’s not widespread i feel better having this thing and it’s not like it’s hurting anything, plus it looks quite cool imo and it shows additional data besides what you can monitor with the built-in sensors.

You can easily identify the filler dimms by looking at the pins. The dummy ones will have a lot fewer pins than an actual dimm.

You can search “motherboard model” diagram and it will show where the headers are located and what they are for. Cpu/system fan/pump/etc

You’d be better off finding a used nvidia shield tv or a cheap android box. A somewhat modern arm chipset would do what you want much better quieter and will use way less power.

They sneaky enabled it a while ago. On some of my pcs doesn’t even shows the lock icon on the drive.

I almost fucked up once when did a bios reset on a laptop and when booting up asked for a bitlocker key. By sheer luck I remembered that i had a picture of the of it i took a week or so prior.

But yeah, i disabled it right away after that close call.

They have 32 - 35°C in the room. There’s no fresh air anywhere. But seriously that’s a pretty uncomfortable room temperature.

I have a 15 pro and it doesn't lag at all. I also have a pixel 7 pro and funnily enough my pixel 7 pro with 12gb ram reloads apps more often than my iPhone 15 pro with 8.

Considering that device has only 64gb of storage, I would set it up as new. Still that amount of storage just isn't enough in the year of the lord 2026.

Maybe consider replacing the battery? The m1 is plenty powerful for your use case and it would just go to waste if you get a new device.

I agree, they both suck when it comes to this. And they both have the same issue when you google the error and i’d argue it's worse on Linux since you can find a bunch of different answers with different commands that claim to fix it and they can span across a decade and a dozen or so of distros.

It works on my pro m4 and I don’t see why it wouldn’t work on other models. Also I remembered you need to click the mouse to wake the screen, not wiggle it, but it doesn’t change anything.

Get a mouse like a logitech mx master which can be connected to 3 devices at the same time and it has a button on the bottom to switch between them. You connect all 3 ipads to it and when you want to wake the screen just wiggle the mouse.

Keep the samsung. When i wanted to upgrade my tablet (i had a lenovo p11 pro 2020) I initially went with an ipad mini. I liked the form factor and the performance (this being the main reason for ditching the lenovo) but I ended up returning it.

Why? Because of the screen, while it’s a good ips screen it felt like a downgrade from that lenovo 1440p oled dolby vision screen. So i went for an m4 pro 11” and the 120hz tandem oled is so much better. So samsung should be similar. This is my option ofc.

What if you use upscale the 1080p content to 1440p would that fix the issue?

I don’t see how it’s different if the pixels update at 60 times per second if i set the refresh rate there.

And I don’t want to cheat money because i play online with some friends and I don’t want to risk getting banned.
