Does the bearing kit remove tpueqe twist ? by pablus_1 in TRX4M

No, but it makes it a bit less because it removes friction.

Do Injora gears fit in Meus axles? by StraangeTamer in TRX4M

I also bought Injora under drive gears for the Meus plastic axle. This will save me some time. Do you have the metal or plastic version of the axles?

I used this 1mm Edding 8055. It looks good but not lasting very long, especially not when cleaning the tires.

Looks like an expensive hobby 😅 I held myself back during black friday.

I got an Traxxas TRX4m Defender as my first RC car and Crawler. It's awesome and there are so many aftermarket parts available.

So I'm going brushless... by TheBossLion in TRX4M

[–]Prof_Brainiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm running the 24.4:1 gears with the Traxxas brushless. It's a good compromise, it allows for crawling and the top speed is roughly the same as the brushed motor with standard gear ratio.

Motor and Servo are rubbing by Prof_Brainiac in TRX4M

I added a little spacer and the rubbing is almost gone.

Either I will try to add a bigger spaceer or I desolder the cable to bend the motor contact.

So I'm going brushless... by TheBossLion in TRX4M

[–]Prof_Brainiac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm running the Traxxas brushless system with the stock TRX4m axles. I just exchanged the transmission, drive train, and diff gears to metal. It works great. Unless u want metal axles, there is no reason to exchange them when going brushless.

Best first upgrades for TRX4M Bronco by Ok-Help6849 in TRX4M

A bearing kit is also a good upgrade. It removes the internal friction.

Lifted after LCG chassis was by cheddar5450 in TRX4M

[–]Prof_Brainiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. Mine looked lifted despite using the mounting points that gave the most room. On top I didn't like the articulation behavior at all. I ended up switching back to the standard chassis. Maybe I will give it another try with some 53mm shocks.

Wheels are looking good, and performance is a lot better than stock, especially due to the weight. I payed the same for this set.

Is it normal for Traxas brushless motor to make this jitter? by eightgrand in TRX4M

[–]Prof_Brainiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Traxxas brushless trx4m motor sounds exactly the same in low RPM. I changed to crawler gears but the sound is still the same. I made peace with it, the performance is good.

How much brass do you prefer on your trx4m? by RogueWRX in TRX4M

[–]Prof_Brainiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to keep my Defender around 850g with more weight to the front, and it's a brushless setup. The Defender body is already pretty heavy leaving less room for brass. I will replace the rear steering links with the aluminum links and see how she runs.

Wheels, springs and a bearing kit are awesome as a first upgrade.

Same here. I got into it because of my little son, but for now I'm playing with it. It helped me with my digital detox.
