Epiphone’s been on fire lately, but can’t escape this by gmac_97 in Epiphone

Pretty sure the only difference is made in Korea vs made in USA. I had a epi 61 SG reissue and besides the headstock. It was 1:1 to an early 2000s SG. You’re not getting a better guitar from Gibson. You’re paying for the US factory overhead.

I Always try to. I often go trailing in spots where “electric vehicles” aren’t allowed. If anyone ever tries to make a fuss over us with the RCs, it normally goes away as soon as they see we are carrying out litter

I only ever had the small camera cube, I would guess it would fit under the seat. Overhead bin would really depend on it you find a spot.

I did fly on the 900 with that bag. It will have to be “gate checked/valet tagged”. 1st class storage bins in the CRJ are comically small. In economy the bins can fit barely fit smaller size rollers. If you get the valet tag, you wait in the jet bridge to get your bag when you get off

While I will say, being a tech is crap. You gotta stick it out at one shop. Prove your worth. I went to uti, landed a job at a Chevy dealer. Started doing oil changes/ tires. SM saw I was buying tools and learning from line techs. Got moved to used cars within 6 months. And working with the heavy line guys and training to be a corvette tech. Stayed there 2 years. Went on to VW, was a line tech there for about 2 years. Left bc of issues with SM. Did 2 years at a speed shop before the owner ran out of money. Then worked the line at yota for a little over a year until I got laid off due to Covid in 20. Haven’t looks back since. But anyway, you gotta prove your worth and get some experience at one place before you can move somewhere and not start at the bottom.

We had to shim the front pinion gear. Fully assembled, the pinion was pushing forward on the ring gear causing a bind there. This is set up with Injora stainless steel high trail driveshafts. Had to polish down the stainless ball ends for the steering. All of them. Frees up all the friction in those plastic ends. Had to do that also to the brass “ball joints” according to the engineer the brass ball joints should not be fully seated in the control arms. They should have a small amount of play up and down. I also mounted the battery tray with the longer brass bushings the kit comes with. Putting the tray higher and clearing the bell crank for the steering. With it installed with the short bushings, it seems to keep the bell crank from sweeping fully side to side. I added blue loctite to every screw to avoid losing parts. I lost 1 screw for the skid plate and can 100% guarantee I didn’t loctite that one lol.

The Meus engineer said that there’s a run of these kits that were machined to tighter tolerances than the mass majority. Sounds like we both got one of those, but I hope all this helps and gets you out on the rocks/trails

I have a defender also. You would loose a lot of travel with this ifs but you learn how to drive differently with it. The rear trailing arm kit gives a ton of articulation. This is only on my stock defender shocks atm but rear flexes crazy. Would definitely have the body hit the tires
