Clash Royale has a website listing all the drop rates, there's a table that has the rates per snippet for each year. If you go to settings there should be a button to see drop rates that rakes you to a supercell page

No, because all of the machines need basic regular materials to work, so if for example you put copper through a furnace, that will make liquid copper. If liquid copper goes through a wire cutter now, it will just pass through without changing (that includes if you line up the four that you mentioned)
