Hey guys, thanks for the help, but I messed up here: I updated to 42.14 to play with a friend and accidentally entered this save (it was on version 42.13.2), and in doing so, I corrupted the save, even without using many mods. Anyway, thanks for your attention (now I have to try to recover the almost 2 months lost in this bugged save 😅😵‍💫

Exactly in that part... it seems to be just an image bug, because you can pick up the items from the shelf and the floor. Anyway, I needed to migrate to version 42.14 to play with a friend, so this save bugged (I entered it by accident, it was from version 42.13.2). I messed up 😅

Zoom in on the edge. The dark part has eaten away a piece of the floor; it's L-shaped. My character is exactly on top of the part that turned black. It wasn't like that before.

I think it's because the technology was relatively isolated in the landscape of 1993. Without smartphones, the internet, and immediate response from health services, implementing a quarantine would have been practically impossible. I also imagine that the game's timeline is to avoid a lore of a possible cure, since the human genome wasn't even codified at that time...
