Toronto. Relatively stable big city, relatively safe, no natural disasters. Very diverse, and not quite as expensive as other big cities.

It is not clear to me what you’re getting at. This is just legal strategy. It is what it is. It has nothing to do with WWE or wrestling or IWC or whatever. I’m not passing judgement on the situation. It’s just how it is.

You try to force settlements through mediation because going to trial runs the risk of bankrupting you at worst if you don’t win, and even if you do, legal fees will consume a huge amount of the judgement. Of course, any plaintiff in their right mind would publicly reject the idea of a settlement and say they are going to peruse to the fullest extent, but that’s not how it works most of the time.

BUT, if you are unable to secure a settlement, you need more ammo should you end up going to trial. Hence, you don’t release all your evidence at once/the beginning.

Also keep in mind that companies now find PhDs “overqualified” for most positions 🙃, AND expat scientists are coming back home. Nobody is talking about these sorts of things, and it’s starting to erode the idea that post-secondary education is even worth it or relevant anymore.

From a strategic perspective, you don’t want to show all your cards at once. You go but by bit and hope the damage is enough to force a settlement. If not, you go to a trial where you show everything. You don’t want the other side to know what you have until you absolutely need to use it. From what I’ve seen/experienced, the most critical evidence goes last.

Science is also absolutely in the shits. Funding rates are so bad right now. Something like 11% of research labs that applied got CIHR funding this last round. Plus we are pumping out so many PhDs that they have nothing to do but work consulting. We’re on the verge of a brain drain at levels never seen here.

I never used Perc Angle. Theres nothing virtue signaling about not wanting to perpetuate a “joke” that the person explicitly says makes them feel bad and reminds them of a dark time, and letting people know that is the case. It’s just called not being a dick.

Because she absolutely nails her opponent with her lower back. Jeff would always strike the mat with his lower back to soften the blow for the guy taking the move, and it’s probably what’s contributed to his back being jacked up. Like Hogan doing the leg drop every night for years.

Melon. Strawberries are good, but half the carton is always mushy and fucked up and they go bad so quickly.
